Hurt

Chapter 2

-Kyle POV-

Five years have passed and my life hasn't gotten better, it actually got pretty worst. First I experience some horrible shit, and then I got told because of my injuries I could no longer bear children. My wolf was already weak, and finding the news made it even weaker. It tried to live on for me but I couldn't let myself be selfish and keep it with me. I didn't want him to suffer. I cried constantly for a whole week, the last good thing I had was gone.

Now I'm just human, no special hearing or speed. I now live in a small town in Michigan, coming here was pretty difficult. Every time we came across a pack, they would know who I am and beat me. Apparently my old pack made sure to tell every pack in the U.S. what happened, they even sent photos of me so everyone knows how I look.  Thankfully my wolf held long enough until I found a place. This was a small town but thankfully it was only humans living here, there would be an occasional werewolf passing by but that's it. 

The only problem with living in a small town like this, was the limit of jobs available, and I wouldn't dare leave for fear of running into someone who knew me. The only thing I could do to survive was to sell my body. I made enough for rent and food. With the extra money I had left I would simply buy alcohol and cocaine. I didn't start drinking or taking drugs until my wolf left, before that I had hope that one day my pack would realize their mistake and come look for me and save me but they didn't. After that I no longer expect the good in people, I only look for their bad, it hurts less when you expect the bad. 

-Christian POV-

Hearing a knock on my office door I tell the person to come in.

"Sir, I found some information I think you need to see urgently."

"What is it Ethan?"

"I think,no, I KNOW we were wrong, god we were so wrong!" Ethan said with watery eyes.

"Ethan! Just tell me what you found."

"Alpha, it was Beta Mike who leaked the information to the enemy pack. A few days ago I saw the Beta in the computer, at first he didn't see me but once he felt my presence he seemed nervous. He seemed in a rush to get out of there, I thought that was weird because I never seen him act like that. He shut down the computer really quick and left, I saw that he left the flash drive connected to the computer but before I can give it back to him he was gone. I know I shouldn't have but something in the back of my mind told me I should check it out.  I went to the my room and put in the flash drive and he had various folders in it, I started snooping around and what I found was some documents that I know only you should have access to. But the big one was he had a draft and final copy of the letter sent to you accusing Kyle of the leaked information."

"What? Ethan are you saying you think it was Beta Mike who wrote the letters?"

"Yes, not only that, HE was the one telling the documents to the enemy pack. While I decided to my own investigation I found out he has been in contact with the Alpha of the enemy pack way before he became beta, meaning this was all planed out. In one of the emails the exchange they were worried that Mike would get caught so they set up plan to pin the blame on someone, the weakest person. Back then we consider Kyle the weakest for he was the most sensitive, he was an easy target. Here is my full report plus the drive sir. Please look it over."

With that I dismissed him, I began to see Ethan's report. Beta Mike and the enemy Alpha have been in contact for the past 6 years! It seemed he would somehow get the documents and then email them to the other Alpha. My stomach turned into knots realizing the mistake I have committed against my own mate . I mind linked Ethan and Eddy to arrest Mike, I then called for an urgent pack meeting.

Making my way downstairs I head to the podium and made sure everyone is settle down and began the meeting:

"Thank you all for coming over here on such short notice but I found some information that I think everyone should know about. Five years ago we made the mistake of accusing an innocent man for a crime he didn't commit. He was framed and he tried to tell us but we wouldn't listen, instead we turned our backs to him. We did Kyle Jones wrong, the one who was actually betraying us for the past 6 years was Beta Mike!" Right then Eddy and Ethan walk in with a handcuffed Mike, everyone is in shock nobody moved at all upon hearing the news. One member raised their hand and asked, "What are we going to do Alpha?"

"We're going to first lock up this son of a bitch in the cells downstairs, after we're going to start looking for Kyle, I'm going to need as many people as I can to help call all the Alphas in the US and tell them of what has been discovered. Once he's here, well we're going to take it from there  and see how he reacts. If anyone wants to help with calling the Alphas please your raise your hand." 

At that moment every member of the pack raised their hand, I guess they also feel guilty and feel like it's their responsibility to help find him. Before we can leave and being Mike begins to talk,

"Do you all really think he wants to be found? I mean thats IF he's even alive because from what I remember everyone in this room wanted him dead. Also, Alpha Chris do you really think he's going to want to return the mate who rejected him and then claimed his own sister as his new mate. Let's not forget that you had pups with her, that's going to be heartbreaking for him if he ever finds out."

"You shut up! You have no right to say whatever you want."

"No but at least I'm not a hypocrite. If you never found out the truth you would have never bother with him but since now you have the information; information which you could have had a long time ago if only you had done some little investigation, you want to bring him back."

I look at Mike, my blood boiling with anger. My wolf is close to surfacing and attacking him, he wanted to rip him to pieces for it's his fault he has been separated from his mate.

"Do yourself a favor and forget him, you've been doing it for the past few years why stop now?" Mike says as he begins to laugh. 

I couldn't hold back anymore and dash to Mike and grabbed him by his throat. I began to choke him and seeing him turn blue and it seemed he was about to loose consciousness. But before it can happened I'm being pulled away and trying to me calmed down by a few of my pack members.

"TAKE HIM TO THE CELLS AND LET HIM ROT IN THERE!" I screamed. 

"Ah jeez thanks Alpha! At least you let me stay within the pack land and didn't throw me to wolves to fend for myself, hahaha get it?!" Mike says as he's dragged to the cells.
