Chapter 10

Kyle's P.O.V

I headed to my room to laid down. Once in the comfort of my own bed a million questions began to go through my head. Especially about Chris and his intentions. Are they genuine? Does he truly feel sorry and wants to be with me because he wants it? Or is it because the moon goddess paired us as mates? What happens now that I don't have a wolf? From what I can tell Chris and his wolf still see me as their mates, but for me I don't have that instant connection anymore.

This is too complicated for me to handle, all that matters for me at the moment is for me to escape, I especially want to escape before the full moon and the kids come back. I wouldn't be to handle the awkwardness of meeting their kids, mainly because I don't want them to see me as a home wrecker. I wouldn't even blame them if they did see me as the person who broke up their family. I wish I was back home, I mean yeah it was crappy but I at least didn't have to worry about all of this.

I just hope Jenny is able to get the items I need to get. But then again I don't know if I can truly trust her, but she's the only chance have here. I'll just leave this for tomorrow and go to sleep.

Next Morning

I woke up with some much noise being made outside of my room, I got up to see what's with all the noise. When I open the door I see maids, going crazy, they seem in a hurry. I wonder why.

"HEY YOU!" I yell at a random worker, she stops and looks at me and then points to herself. I nod my head.

"Good morning sir Kyle, how may I help you?"

"Why are you guys, in such a hurry? Is there a party going on tonight?"

"There's a celebration, the Alpha's and Luna's children are returning today from the summer camp."

"Oh, well, thank you."

Shit! I forgot that Chris mention this yesterday. Fuck!. I quickly get dressed and cleaned up and head to Jenny's room. I knock hard.

"Coming! Jesus relax! Oh its you, what do you want?"

"Oh you know chat with my sister, want to know if you like todays weather. Obviously I came to check up on your progress!"

"Well I was able to get the fake passport but I'm having difficulty getting the last thing you asked for."

"Fuck, ok let me in, I don't want to talk about this outside."

Jenny moved to let me in, "Jenny, the full moon is exactly 5 days from now, we have to get that potion as soon as possible."

"Well you know its hard! Its not like I can just walk into a store and pick it out, besides Ive also been busy with the preparations for the return of my kids."

"You know what Chris is planning to do right?"

"No, what?"

"He wants to introduce me to your kids as his mate."

"WHAT?! THAT ASSHOLE! Have you tried to stop him?! You're probably happy about this!"

"Jenny as much as I love hearing your accusation I need you to relax. For your information I have tried to talk him out but you know how stubborn he can be."

"Why does he want to introduce you?"

"He thinks it's going to help the kids deal with the mating bond he's trying to create with me. That's why it's important that you help me out, theres only 4 days left!"

"Shit, ok, tomorrow I'll leave at the crack of dawn, and look for Akiye. But what if I don't fine her?"

"Then we're going have to think of a plan b, but let's just hope you do find her."

"Ok, but what are we going to do today? Chris is hellbent of showing you off!"

"Leave that to me."

I make my way out of her room, and head to Chris' office. I go in, and thankfully see he's here.

"Hey Chris I have a favor to ask."

"What is it?"

"Why don't we hold off telling your kids about me being your mate?"

"Why?"

"I think we should at least give them one day back home before we you know, take a drastic decision that can change their life. They should at least enjoy this day with bout you and Jenny."

He looked at me for a few seconds, before he began to nod his head.

"I think you're right, for today I will hold back from doing anything in front of them. But, starting tomorrow Im going to slowly start talking to them about you."

"Uh ok yea, that works. Thanks, thats all I wanted to talk to you about. I'll see you later at the party."

With that I head back to my room. I think Im going to hide out up here for as long as possible, because even though Chris is going to keep quiet about me, I know he's going to want me to be around. I just hope nothing goes bad today.
