Everyone gathere down stairs in the main hall. Everyone looked so excited for their arrival. Then there was me- the nervous one. Not only was I about to meet the kids, I had to worry about making sure nothing slipped out of Chris's mouth that may make things awkward. I also couldn't help but worry about the lack of time I had left to make sure I have everything ready for my escape.
"The car just pulled up!" Someone screamed.
It's finally happening, I can feel my hands slightly tremble. All of sudden I felt someone grab my hand, I followed the hand and saw it was Chris. I quickly snatched it away, I didn't want the kids to see him holding my hand and ask questions.
I gave him the best glare I can give at the moment. My stomach was churning, I wasn't prepare for this at all. At that moment the head maid opened the door and a pair of adorable twins were in view.
"My babies! Mommy missed you so much." Jenny said as she ran to them with her arms wide opened.
"MOM!" Both kids screamed as they ran to meet up with their mother. Such a bitter scene for me to see.
"Hey guys! What about me ?" Chris ask while making a stupid sad puppy face. I couldn't stop myself from rolling my eyes.
The kids turn to their father and their smiles widened even more. They both jump into their fathers arm. Although I hate Chris, I can't lie and say I'm jealous of him at that moment.
After the twins began to say hi to everyone around, I decided to sit on the stairway. I never felt more left out than at this moment. Everyone is smiling, happy to see these kids. But me? I only feel sadness.
As I stair at them, watching them just smile and chatter away to anyone listening, I begin to wonder how my children would have been. Would I had twins? Maybe just one? What gender?
So many things were going through my mind that I didn't even notice all chatter stopped. It was until I felt a firm hand shake me, that I notice both boys were in front of me, curiosity filling their eyes.
"Lucas, Marcus, this is daddy's most special friend."
"Hi, I'm Marcus, and this is Lucas, and we're both 4 years old!" Looking at both I can see that it's very simple to tell them apart.
Marcus has blue eyes, while Lucas has green eyes. I just give them a small smile and stick out my hand.
"Hello, I'm Kyle. It's nice meeting you both."
"You live here now?" Lucas ask.
"Just temporarily, just until I get something done." I say
I don't want to look up with his eyes not only because I can't look away but I don't want to deal with Chris' expression.
"Daddy, if he's your special friend, why don't we ever see him?"
"Because his home is somewhere else, isn't that right Kyle?"
I can practically see Jenny smirk. I quickly put my own smirk face on.
"Yup."
Jenny and I have a quiet stand off, just staring at each other, waiting until one of backs down. Well more like I'm waiting for her to back down.
Stupid bitch think just because I don't have my wolf she can overpower me, not even in her dreams.
It was then that Jenny's mom decides to move everyone's attention from us,
"Well let's get this celebration started! Come along kids!"
Jenny gives one last glare before leaving. Chris just sighs and starts to walk. I quickly get a hold of his arm.
"Chris, before we go in there I'm letting you know right now I will not be seating in the Luna's seat now that your children are here."
He doesn't turn to face me.
"If for some reason you decided to fight me on this, I will lock myself in my room during dinner time. This is my only warning."
I then release his arm and make my way to a random seat, a few seconds later he walks to his seat.
For a second, I felt relaxed, I felt relieved.
