Sorry it's been a few weeks since I've posted! I just closed a musical yesterday (:;('');:) and the past few weeks have been super busy with rehearsals! I've barely even been at home!

Anyway, chapter 26 is done! (And it took significantly less time then the last chapter!)

So without further ado, here it is!

"Grunkle Stan, are you sure about this?" Dipper asked. "I mean, what if it's a trap? Especially with what Grunkle Ford just–"

"Shut it, kid, I'm trying to drive," Stan protested. He could barely fit his wings in the car, and that wasn't making things very comfortable. "We'll worry about it when we get there." He thought. "Besides, I'm pretty sure they'll shit themselves when they see me anyways."

Dipper rolled his eyes, adjusting his position in the car. Sitting in it wasn't exactly the most comfortable thing to do with the lower half of a deer. He stared at his great-uncle, who's left wing was practically hanging out of the car.

The cervitaur sighed. He had wanted to go see the agents with Ford, but  Stan kept insisting that Dipper would be 'safer with him.' Eventually the sphinx gave up on the argument, not wanting to tamper with the gargoyle's extremely protective instincts. "Should we even be going?" Dipper asked again, beginning to get skeptical. "I mean, we haven't even been in town since this started! What if they found out you were selling the stream water and there's an angry mob waiting for us!"

"You're the one who wanted to go," Stan mumbled, making a left turn and cringing as the car went a little bit too left, weighed down by his stone body.

Dipper held his breath as he felt the car lurch into balance once again. "I-I know," he said. "But I–I'm not too sure about it now..."

Silence. Dipper looked out the window and into the downtown area of Gravity Falls. It was, to say the least, a ghost town. No one was on the streets, and all of the shops looked like they had been closed down for the night. Except it's probably been longer then that.

Stan sighed. "Look, kid," the gargoyle said, continuing to drive. "I'd honestly be doing anything rather then this right now–"

"Then why'd you make such a big deal about coming?"

"Dumb instincts." Stan took another turn. "I'll go in first, and you follow me. Got it?"

Nothing.

"Got it, kid?"

"Y-yeah..." Dipper squeaked, watching as his uncle parked the El Diablo in the motel lot. "I-I'm just nervous," he explained, feeling shaky.

"Heh, those deer instincts don't help either," the gargoyle joked. Stan unlocked the doors and stepped out of the car, pulling his wing out of the open window. He began to walk forward, then stopped when he noticed Dipper hadn't exited the car yet. "You coming, kid?"

The cervitaur looked terrified. His eyes were wide, ears high, and he was visibly shaking, hand on the door handle. "Y-yeah, just a minute," Dipper stuttered, words as shaky as the rest of him. Slowly, the boy opened the door and stepped out, hooves clicking on the pavement. He took a deep breath.

"I'm ready."

Knock-knock.

The sound rang out clear as day in the quiet motel room, making Agent Powers jump and Agent Trigger turn in his sleep.

The boy.

He stood up, heading for the door. Powers reached for the doorknob, but hesitated as he heard a low growling coming from the other side. "Who's there?" The agent asked gruffly, cursing the stupid motel for not having peepholes.
