Slipping out of the Mystery Shack was not a very hard feat with two grumpy great uncles, a stupid demon-turned-human and a paranoid twin brother, so Mabel was able to escape with little to no problems.
Never once in the last two months did Mabel think she would be meeting up with Pacifica willingly, with no outside forces or little nudges bringing them together.
Not to mention, Pacifica had actually been the one to call her, and not the other way around!
A chuckle danced it's way off Mabel's lips as she began the long hike into town. "That might just be weirder than all of this monster stuff," the half-unicorn mumbled to herself, brown hair dancing in the morning breeze.
The air became silent again, the sound of the girl's hooves clacking on the gravel road made prominent. Hooves. She had hooves. A laugh escaped her mouth yet again. This was crazy!
Mabel, the half unicorn, was going to meet up with her friend, Pacifica Northwest, who had been turned into whatever.
This week had been so, so, weird.
Air squeezed out of Agent Triggers' chest like an accordion as he was thrown on to the ground, the touch of cool concrete flooding across his skin as he slammed into the floor. A groan left his mouth, and he could hear the loud thump! as his unconscious partner was, presumably, tossed onto the floor with him.
A pounding ache was establishing itself behind his eyes, exploding throughout his entire head. A pained gasp left his throat as he cracked his eyes open, the bright, fluorescent light crowding his senses. "What-" Memories of what just happened flew back into his mind, –the transformation, the scary gargoyle man–and his body jerked up, coming face to face with the large gargoyle who had thrown him onto the floor.
"What are you going to do with us, old man?" Trigger questioned, voice wavering with fear.
The gargoyle's left brow cocked, as he leaned back, stony arms crossing. "Just lockin' ya up so ya' can't cause any more trouble."
The room was spinning. "Are you planning to torture us?" Oh god, his heart was beating so goddamn fast. Was he dying? Was this what it is like to die? Would he be buried as a disgusting creature?
The gargoyle looked dumbfounded. "No?"
"Oh my god—ARE YOU GONNA KILL US?" Spotted wings extended as Trigger jumped back. "Please, I-I have so much to live for—I can't die like this, oh my god I look so disgusting I'll have to have a closed casket funeral and none of my family will ever be able to see me ever again and—PLEASE DON'T KILL US, PLEASE—"
"Shut the fuck up, will ya?" the gargoyle demanded, pulling a key out of his pocket. "I'm not killing ya, kid. Nobody's killing anyone." A heaved sigh came from his throat. "You have proven yourselves to be extremely fuckin' annoying, so I'm going to lock you in here until ya calm the fuck down, alright?"
Trigger nodded, whimpering. "Yes, yes, ok, sir."
A smile spread across the gargoyle's face, revealing—Oh, holy shit those are sharp— extremely pointy canines. "Just stay calm, alright, kid? Your partner there might start screaming soon."
"WHAT?"
