Dipper Pines walked into the clearing. He was always glad to get out of the Shack, especially now when Stan and Ford were fighting all the time, even when they didn't think he and Mabel were listening. Slowly, he pulled his pen out, looking at the river in front of him. It moved slowly, and was so clear you could see the purple rocks underneath the flowing water. He set his red ink pen down beside him, mesmerized by the river's beauty. He didn't realize, however, that it was oddly rolling away.
Bill, from inside the mindscape, was pushing Dipper's pen into the water. He knew what this water did, and it would be the perfect distraction for him to complete the final stages of his plan. He squinted his eye, still pushing the pen towards the water. Dipper's head sprung up as he noticed his pen -his gosh darn favourite red pen- rolling towards the river. He ran over, just as it fell in, and grabbed mid-air, not realizing, that in the mindscape, he had grabbed Bill's arm as well. The demon struggled to get out, but since he was not in the physical realm, he was very much powerless against the kid's grasp.
Dipper walked forwards, proudly holding his pen, when he tripped over a rock and fell face-first into the now rushing stream.
Bill gasped as he was pulled underwater. He couldn't swim, he was a demon for gods sake! He didn't have to swim! But Pine Tree, the stupid kid he was, apparently couldn't swim very well either, and dragged both of them down, without knowing it.
Dipper gasped as he popped his head out of the water. "That was not fun," he muttered, getting out of the water and putting his pen down, releasing Bill. He took his hat off angrily, then wringing it out. He looked up, noticing the world around him had become monochrome. Oh god, he thought, annoyed. Not--
"Thanks a lot, Pine Tree!" Rang a high pitched, nasal voice.
Dipper jumped, turning around to see Bill Cipher, the 'almighty' dream demon who had almost ruined his life not once, but twice. "What are you doing here?" He snapped, putting his hat back on.
Bill chuckled. "Oh, ya' know, just doing my daily run of messin' with people's lives, just the usual!" The demon pointed his cane at Dipper. "Thanks for pulling me underwater, by the way."
Dipper furrowed his brows. "What?" He realized what Bill was talking about. "Wait. You pushed my pen into the water? What was the fun in that?"
Bill laughed. "Ahhh. You never fail to amuse me, kid. But let's cut to the chase. That water has magical properties, ya' hear me? "
"What kind of magical properties?" Dipper questioned.
"Like I'm gonna answer that. But, uh, anyways. I like messin' with ya', Pine Tree."
Dipper groaned. "Oh really? Says the guy who invaded my uncle's brain, took my body, and now almost drowned me!" He said sarcastically.
Bill chuckled. "And those were all great times, weren't they?" Bill floated closer.
Dipper rolled his eyes. "You know, for a guy who says he hates me, you sure like hanging around me a lot."
Bill's eye widened. "Oh, no! You've figured out my little secret! Listen. I don't like you, but I need you for my plan. Kapeesh?"
"I guess--"
"I've got stuff to do Pine Tree." Bill tipped his hat. "But, uh, good luck with what's coming next!" And with that, he was gone.
Dipper stared at the space where Bill was just. "What the..." he muttered, walking over to collect his stuff and head back.
Dipper opened the Shack's front door, walking in. To be honest, the walk was... longer then he remembered. His legs hurt. I hope I'm growing taller, he thought, walking up the wooden stairs. That would be a plus. He pulled open the attic door, only to see Stan sitting on Mabel's bed instead of her. "Uh, hey, Grunkle Stan," Dipper muttered, pulling his shoes off.
Stan looked up. "Oh. Hey, Dipper." He cleared his throat. "Why're ya' all wet?"
Dipper groaned. "I fell in a river." Stan opened his mouth. Dipper grimaced. "Don't wanna talk about it." He looked at his great uncle. "More importantly, why are you up here?"
"We both have things we don't want to talk about, kid." Stan furrowed his brows. "Y'know, the town's water supply got cut off for a while."
Dipper raised his eyebrows. "And...?"
"How clean was that river?"
Ok, ok, it's not too good right now, but I assure you guys, it'll definitely get better! And can I tell you that this is my first time writing Bill and he's extremely hard to write, so please bear with me of he's ever the slightest bit OOC. Thanks for reading and please vote and comment!
