Lavinia ignored the intense stare, she was receiving from the stranger Vampire. His long black coat seemed expensive to her while his accent seemed so perfect and sorted. She felt as if she had been watching an actor delivering his best dialogues.

The dark area was too dark for human eyes but for her, she could see through his face, his eyes. She could read his aura. His red eyes were scary yet she couldn't break the contact and it seemed fascinating to him. She had her magic to save her life. Yet she still won't lose her chance of getting through this with the non-magic way.

She couldn't run, he would catch her. She couldn't attack him, he would know her identity. But she may do one thing which her Aunt Lilac used to do. The lady usually did it when she used to visit the mortal realm to help her friends who lived in the realm secretly. She used to rob money to survive her days in realm.

Lavinia mentally groaned at how she would do that with this man.

But it was her life on stake.

"You seem afraid, beautiful." The man spoke, strangely in calm tone while she blinked slowly to deepen his curiosity.

Lavinia smiled sublimely while controlling her breathing. He could know her true state by hearing her heartbeats. Letting out a deep sigh, she watched him roaming his eyes on her.

"Yes, I am."

She moved her hand up over her chest alluringly and touched her grandmother's pendant hanging on her neck, ending up on her cleavage.

She mentally screamed seeing his lips pursing as he observed her hands' movement and finally resting them on her locket. She wasn't sure, if he was staring at her cleavage or the red gem pendant.

"Afraid of bewitching you," she said in a soft voice.

The man's eyebrows raised in fascination as he roamed his eyes over her face. She felt nervous, her legs shook but she controlled. Her throat was drying yet she gulped while moving her fingers so, he won't notice how her eyes would have betrayed her in between. They still must be holding the fear.

But she had to use this trick.

So not wasting anymore time, she stepped closer to the man. Her stomach churned remembering how fast he was. She would have to be careful with him.

Their eyes kept the contact, while the Vampire suddenly asked,"Who are you? I haven't seen you here before." His tone again, soft.

Lavinia felt strange, as she didn't even started her magic and he was already calm. His eyes seemed still scary but now he didn't look as if he was desperate to kill her. But remembering what she had to do, she stepped closer that now, a two-step distance was left between them.

She had to crane her neck up to look at him. He was a foot taller. His eyes observed her Auburn hair and Lavinia smiled.

"A charmer."

The Vampire's lips twitched upwards from the corner as he gave her a smug look. He stepped closer and suddenly, held a fistful of her hair to raise her head. Lavinia gasped and controlled her hands to react on the action.

"A charmer? I won't object though. I am myself charmed by these eyes of yours. Tell me lady charmer, why would you roam in a dark forest," the vampire said while moving his long finger on her cheek.

Lavinia breathed deeply and stared in his red eyes. "Didn't I tell you? I have my own set of rules. The first one warns me to not share anything with an innocent stranger."

Vampire laughed,"I look innocent to you. Maybe, I am the charmer here."

Lavinia shook her head with an arrogant smile. "Innocent ones get bewitched," she confirmed remembering her Aunt Lilac's words.
