A thick silence hung around the whole tent. Lavinia was quietly stepping out from the Luna's section who had now closed her eyes and was sleeping peacefully. Talking to her for some time had distracted her for a good time. But the time wasn't good enough to get distracted.

Even by the thoughts of that stranger lurking at her bedroom's window.

She was slightly relieved that Alpha Arik had shown intelligence by not discussing his opinions in front of Callum or only she knew what he would have done. Moreover, she was worried about his visit to the castle again at this time of the night.

Shaking her head in annoyance, she entered into the section while pushing the curtains away, interrupting the intense discussion of Rico with Callum and other wolves.

"Lavinia," smiled Rico charmingly, irritating Callum to the core.

All other wolves too cleared their throats, straightening at seeing her observing each one of them. But just as she found Callum sitting beside Rico on the cot, she stepped ahead. "What are you planning to do?"

Rico shrugged his shoulders, getting up while replying, "We have made a plan to get to the castle and find her spell book."

Lavinia gulped, trying to remember if she had for once, seen the familiar book anywhere when she was in the room full of her belongings. "But it wasn't there in the room the King had shown us. They weren't even much belongings of her. So many things were missing."

Rico gave her a tight-smile. "Do not worry, Lavinia. My senses are sharp and I believe that I will find the book if I smell a mere sniff of it. I will not come back unless I found the book," he said, making Callum look at him blankly.

The other wolves smiled when Lavinia tilted her head and nodded slowly. "Callum, how many are going with you?" She asked reluctantly, scared of even imagining of what would happen if he found out about why her magic wasn't working.

Callum clenched his jaws, shaking his head. "Only Rico and I."

Lavinia gasped, immediately. Her eyes widening at imagining the castle in this dark night. "But that is not enough. What if you get caught?"

Rico came forward to chuckle at her. "If we have magic and claws prickling out of our hands, we can never get caught. This is not the first time, I am going to the castle hideously with someone who knows spells."

Lavinia exchanged a surprised glance with Callum. Understanding their shock, Rico stretched enthusiastically while going out of the tent to leave for the castle.

"I am waiting out for you, wizard boy."

Ignoring her mischievous stare, Rico sighed finally and glared at her. "You call yourself my best friend. Do you know what that means? We care of each other. Like I cared for you, bringing you and Walter to my home, saving you from his mother," he said while counting on one finger.

Adding another finger, he watched her chuckling to herself. He raised his eyebrows angrily, making her blink innocently. "Best friends don't hide things. They share the deepest of secrets."

He pointed at the little dragon flying far on the south above the big castle whole he himself was sitting on a stone at the brink of the lake. Cliona was sitting in front of him, with her spell book in her lap.

"You saved that arrogant dragon's life. She is a very pretentious being. She doesn't let any other boy ride her, and her Goru riding other dragons. She never lets any girl touch Goru. But you did that magic and that dragon doesn't scare you when Goru greets you," he said confidently, blaming her with all his heart.
