"Hey! You."
Callum blinked and looked up at the Vampire guard that was approaching him. He wiped his eyes and raised his head fully to meet his green eyes with a pair of red ones.
"Get up," the Knight said while Callum shook his head.
"Wait. Why?"
The Knight leaned and held his forearm, raising him easily with his undeniable power. Callum grunted as the man started dragging him forcefully. Keeping up with his long strides, he looked at him.
"Where are you taking me? Where's my friend?"
Worry spread all over his heart and mind, feeling as if Lavinia had done some mistake. Did she get caught? He gulped and noticed that two more Knights were standing on the doors from which Lavinia had entered.
"Where are you taking me?" he asked again while trying to remove his cold hand off his forearm but his grip was absolutely tight.
"The King has summoned you."
Callum widened his eyes. "The King?"
The Vampire smirked and tilted his head while moving ahead. "It's not everyday, you see the King of Vampires. Huh? Unbelievable. Right? Let us make you believe it, little boy."
Calling protested to walk forward as he groaned and tried to remove Vampire's fingers from his arm.
"Leave me."
The Vampire laughed along with others. "He is as interesting as her."
Calling was frozen. "What did you say? Her? Who is her?"
The Vampire looked amused and shrugged his shoulders. His armour clinking in the process. "Your friend, little boy."
Callum's face paled. Did this mean, they were taking him to a room where the King was waiting for him along with Lavinia? Had they tied her or something?
He needed to save her which meant, he needed to see her first. She was captured which meant that she had still not used her spells to protect herself. Maybe, she wanted him to reach her and save her.
Whatever it was, he couldn't decide anything until he would see her. So slowly looking back at the floor, he nodded.
The Vampire hummed and started walking, taking him to the so-called King of Vampires.
________
Every single room looked mysterious. He could feel so many dark auras surrounding him. As if they had entered into the hell, into the valley of demons.
He looked around and noticed the security. Vampires had sharp senses and since they were standing on each turn and doors, he needed to be careful.
"Walk inside quietly, and bow before doing anything," whispered the Vampire while opening the posh wooden doors that would lead them to the Vampire King's office.
Callum gulped and prayed for Lavinia to be as healthy as she was. He couldn't afford to lose another important girl in his life.
He pushed the doors and entered quietly while looking around. The room wasn't a room. It was a big hall with red curtains and sparkling showcases. He stared up at the chandelier and thought, how many guests, how many meetings this chandelier would have seen.
"Callum," the voice brought a bucket full of relief and he felt himself getting drenched in happiness.
He almost sighed while walking ahead and hugging Lavinia to his chest. He pushed his face on her shoulder and breathed heavily.
