•CHAPTER SEVEN•

-Nathan's POV-

"Haley.. Babe, wake up." I nudged her, while holding our son.

She yawned and rolled over in the small space she had on her hospital bed.

"You never went home last night?" She questioned me, then yawned.

"Of course not, i slept right here. I wasnt gonna leave you, or Jamie."

"You're the best."

She pulled me in for a kiss.

"How is the little guy anyway?"

"Hes doing great."

I tilted his head up more enough for Haley to see his face, i smiled.

I stared straight into his ocean blue eyes, just like mine. But then admired his head of hair, precisely coco brown, just like Haley. He was a perfect mix. I was already in love.

Haley reached her hand over the bars on the bed to touch his hair, which was surprisingly, really soft. Jamie let out a small yawn.

"Aww! That was so cute can he do that again?!" Haley yelled.

I laughed.

I played with his tiny fingers as he wrapped them around mine. He squeezed them tight, then opened his bright eyes, and stared into mine. My heart raced, he actually, smiled at me. This is a moment every newly father should experience. Its so amazing.

"Can i hold him?" Haley asked with puppy dog eyes.

"Well of course my love." I smiled while handing him off.

Jamie smiled so wide while looking at his mother.

"Same Jamie, same." I laughed.

Haley looked over and smiled at me.

"Aghhh i love my boys." She kissed my head, and Jamie's.

"Ba ba ba" is what sounded to come out of Jamie's mouth.

"Wow hes an early starter." I laughed.

"Aww Jamie!" Haley smiled while rubbing his stomach, he smiled.

A nurse walked in.

"Good morning Miss James."

"Soon to be Scott" i added in laughing.

The nurse smiled.

"Since this is your first child, if i am not mistaken?"

"Yes it is." Haley nodded.

"Well we are gonna show you, and Mr. James how to change a diaper, and i wont leave until its perfect!" The nurse laughed.

Haley climbed out of her hospital bed, and stood by the small changing table near the window.

Step by step the nurse described how to change it.

While I was waiting, i called Haley's mom.

"Hello?"

"Hey! Its Nathan."

"Hi Nathan!"

"James Lucas Scott." I whispered proudly.

"AHH OH MY GOD!! RODNEY ITS A BOY!" She screamed to Haley's father.

"Hes perfectly healthy. Very handsome boy."

"Send a picture as soon as you can Nathan!"

"Oh i will!"
