Alyx pov:

I woke up and Colby wasn't in bed, I looked around before realising he was in the toilet. He walked out and I instantly remembered how unreasonable I was last night and how much I needed to apologise to him.

"When did i get in these pyjamas?" I asked sitting up in the bed.

"I knew you would get too warm in your hoodie and sweats so I changed you last night, I hope you didn't mind" Colby told me sitting down in the bed next to me.

"No that's fine. Colby I really need to apologise to you" I told him.

"No babe, I'm sorry you dont need to apologise" Colby said.

I refused to accept his apology because I knew that I was the one in the wrong.

"No babe, I was in the wrong, you should be aloud to hang out with who you want. I will just have to get used to Shea and trust her because I know she is your friend and you've known her longer than you've known me." I apologised.

"Baby honestly it's fine. I didn't meet her last night by the way. I just went for a drive and told Shea that we would be putting the video on hold for a little bit" He told me.

"You didn't have to do that. You should have filmed with her." I told him.

"No it didn't feel right. Anyway, Elton told me he heard you crying for an hour all last night baby" He said taking my hand.

"I just thought I had ruined everything and lost you. I was angry with myself." I told him honestly.

"You never have to worry about that" He said hugging me.

Colby pov:

I remembered that Alyx and I had planned a trip to my home town of Kansas, I planned on letting her meet my family since I met hers.

It was 6pm and Alyx went out to walk to the shop down the road to grab us some snacks for waiting at the airport whilst I finished packing our suitcases. We had planned that we had to leave that night at 7pm because it was an hour drive to LAX and the flight boarded at 10pm.

"Have any of y'all seen Alyx?" I asked the guys sitting down the stairs as I realised that it was 6:30 and she should have been back 15mins ago because the shop was so close.

"Last I seen her was around 6pm when she left for the shop, hasn't she came back?" Corey asked.

"No I haven't seen her since and she was meant to be back so long ago. I will call her" I told the guys.

I phoned her. Multiple times. With no reply I started to become more and more worried. I calmed myself down telling myself that maybe she had just bumped into someone she knew at the store and was having a chat.
It reached 6:55pm and we were meant to leave in 5mins. For the last 10mins me and the guys had been out yelling her name in the streets and still no luck.
I was about to jump in my car to go to the store to see if she was there when I got a call. It was Alyx, thank god.

"Alyx omg where are you? We're meant to be leaving for the airport in 5minutes" I said.

"Hello? Sorry this isn't Alyx" I heard a woman's voice say. Where was Alyx.

"Excuse me who is this and how do you have my girlfriends phone." I asked really starting to panic as i put my phone on speaker to let the guys hear.

"I'm really sorry, your girlfriend. She. I just phoned an ambulance for her because I was walking home and seen her on the ground and she had been hit by a car. I think." The woman said. At that moment it was the worst thing I could have heard.

"No no no no" I cried as my hands became weak and the phone fell to the ground.

"WHERE IS SHE NOW?" Elton picked up my phone shouting asking the woman as Sam and Corey grabbed me.

"She's heading to the hospital in the ambulance. I just I found her phone after she was taken away and called the first person in her phone" The woman explained as I sobbed.

"Thank you, can you please explain what state she was in?" Elton asked as I was led into Corey's car by Sam and she started to drive to the hospital.

"She was alive but unconscious. Losing a lot of blood. A lot." She replied, I tried to ignore what I had heard but the thought of my girlfriend dead just kept spinning in my mind.

"Thanks for your help" Elton said and immediately hung up.

Corey drove as fast as possible to the hospital whilst Sam in the back seat tried to comfort me. I can't believe this is happening. Why now? We were about to visit Kansas.

---------------

We had sat in the waiting room all night and it was now 1am before anyone got to walk in and see her.

"Colby Brock?" The doctor walked down into the waiting room.

"Yeah that's me." I said getting up and walking over to him."

"Okay Colby. I can confirm that Alyx has a broken arm, broken collar bone and 2 broken ribs." He told me.

Honestly at that point it was probably the best news possible considering she probably could have died. But what I didn't know is that what he was about to tell me next. Was way worse.

"But. She, she. We need you to come and talk to her so that we know if what we think has also happened has." The doctor said. I was confused.

"Excuse me?" I didn't understand.

"There isn't an easy way to say this. She woke up very confused unable to tell us her name or where she was. She didn't have a clue as to what had happened." The doctor told me. Everything was becoming worse and worse. Sam came over and stood next to me after hearing what I had just heard.

"What? No. Are you telling me" I said unable to form sentences from my state of shock.

"We unfortunately think she may have lost her memory." The doctor said. That was just the start of the worst to come.

I let out a single tear as Sam put his hand on my back and guided me to Alyx's room. I all of a sudden didn't want to see her after wanting to see her desperately for hours. I didn't want this to be a reality. What if she didn't recognise me.

"Alyx" I said walking into the room giving her a hug straight away as I cried seeing her in her casts and bandages.

I pulled back from the hug to realise that she didn't hug me back and I was revealed with the face of a really confused girl looking back at me.

"Excuse me, but who the hell are you" Alyx stared back impassively at me. That was the sentence that would haunt me for the next months of my life.

I ran out of the room straight away sobbing as Sam screamed my name down the hall.
How was I supposed to cope. What was I supposed to do. I couldn't bare to have her ripped out from my life. She didn't know me, she didn't know Sam, she didn't know she lived in LA, she didn't know where she came from. And she didn't know that we were madly in love.
