Today is Alyx's birthday, i know last night I said I had nothing planned but I planned on taking her shopping during the day before her party.
I don't cook but I've been practicing pancakes just for this day because she is asleep right now and I wanted to surprise her in bed with pancakes, I'm the best boyfriend ever.

"Babe" I said as I shook her lighting with one hand and in the other and held the tray with her pancakes and smoothie on it.

"Yeah?" She asked turning her face into the pillow before looking at me because of the bright lights.

"Look at what i made you girl" I said laughing pushing the tray forward.

"Awww thank you babe!" She said happily with her morning voice as she turned around looking at the food and hugging me.

"That's all good, tell me once your finished eating and ready for your presents" I replied sitting down on the bed beside her.

Alyx told me about 5 mins later that she was ready for presents after she laid her empty plate on her bedside dresser. She sat up in her bed and held her hands over her eyes as I gathered her presents and brought them through to her.

"First of all, this is from your parents, they wanted me to give it to you since they can't be here with you" I said handing over the card.

Alyx opened it and took out money, she explained to me that her family give money instead of presents so you can buy what you want because they are hopeless with picking gifts.

"Now the rest are from meee" I said handing her a gift bag which was carrying separately wrapped gifts inside.

"Babe you didn't have to get me all this!" She exclaimed taking out each individual still wrapped gift.

She opened each present one by one: the first was a framed picture of the first ever selfie we took together the night we met.

Me, Colby, Sam and Kat lay in our makeshift bed on my living floor. Sam and Kat beside me and Colby were taking a bunch of selfies so me and Colby decided to mock them.

Even thought I had no makeup on, was in my pyjamas and Colby was shirtless I still allowed him to take the selfie because I was in too much of a good mood to care what anyone else but Colby thought.

"What the hell are you doing?" I burst into a fit of laughter as Colby held out his phone to take the selfie at the worst angle possible.

"I don't know, trying to take a selfie?" He replied also in a fit of laughter. Looking back and telling this story wouldn't seem funny because it was one of those things you would need to have been there for.

"Give it to me" I said wiping my tears from laughing as Colby handed his phone to me.

"Okay, lets get a filter going up in here" I decided.

"Omg you have to get that basic dog filter" Colby joked because we were taking the picture on Snapchat. At this point we had forgotten about Kat and Sam and were in a world of our own.

"Defo, now SMILE!" I shouted as I went to take the picture, but both of us couldn't hold it together and burst out laughing again for no reason at all.
