Chapter Seven - Confessions

After I had washed up and got all the flour and egg out of my hair it was getting dark. The day had gone so fast! It was already 7 o'clock!  

I ended up deciding just to relax in Niall and I's room. Which is when I noticed Niall's guitar in the corner, I'm sure he wouldn't mind if I used it. I picked it up and started to play, getting lost in my own world.

"I remember tears streaming down your face when I said I'd never let you go, when all those shadows almost killed your light. 

I remember you said don't leave me here alone, but all that's dead and gone and past tonight."

I started to sing one of my favourite songs.

"Just close your eyes the sun is going down, you'll be alright no one can hurt you now, come morning light, you and I'll be safe and sound."

I was so caught up in the music that I didn't notice someone leaning on the doorframe until I finished singing.  

"You have a beautiful voice you know" An irish voice brought me back to reality.  

"Er.. Thanks" I said looking down blushing. Niall made his way over to the bed and sat beside me. I felt his hand under my chin and he tilted my head up to look at him.

"Why do you do that?" He asked.  

"Do what?" I asked very confused.  

"Look at the ground like you don't believe when people compliment you" He replied looking me in the eye.  

"Because I don't believe it, Niall, I can't bring myself to believe the nice things people say to me, I just can't!" I said looking at the ground again as a flasback played in my mind.

*FLASHBACK*

'You're just an ugly slut! No one could ever love you let alone want you!' His words scarring me as he yelled. '

*END OF FLASHBACK*

"Elena, Look at me," Niall said lifting my chin up again, "I've only known you for almost two days but you are one of the most beautiful girls I have met and not only that but you're funny and genuine and you're not afraid of being yourself. Now stop being silly and believe the compliments you get" He said smiling. I gave him a hug "Thank you Niall, you're a really good friend" I said wishing we were more.

Niall POV: 

"Thank you Niall, you're a really good friend" She said into my shoulder which sent a pang of hurt through my chest. I guess we'll just be good friends even though I wish we were more. I was kind of hoping she was talking about me with Ava but I guess I got my hopes up for nothing. I'm just going to continue to be her friend.  

We pulled out of the hug and I yawned "Aw is ickle Nialler tired?" She said teasingly. "I actually am a little bit to be honest" I said chuckling, "I think I'll have a quick nap before dinner"  

"Okay then Nye, Goodnight" Elena said giggling as she closed the door.

Elena's POV:

I walked down into the kitchen and Harry was looking through the cupboards. "Aren't you going to watch the movies?" I asked. 

"I was but I got hungry, Where's Niall? Did you tie him to your bed?" Harry said smirking. 

"What?! No" I poked my tongue at him, "He's just having a quick nap before dinner"  

"Well, we don't have any food for dinner" He stated, "There's only carrots,carrots and more carrots."  

"Well let's go to the store then Hazza" I grabbed my hoodie and he did the same, we wouldn't want him to get recognised while we're out. 

"Guys we're just going to the store to get food, we'll be back soon" I called and they murmured back. 

"Let's walk there, we have time" He said linking arms with me.

We got to the store and heard their song 'Stand Up' being played causing us to laugh at the coincidence.  

"I would walk down the aisle 

I would swim all the oceans just to see you smile"

We skipped down the shopping aisle laughing. "Maybe we should actually start doing the grocery shopping"I suggested. 

"Oh yeah, What are we going to get?" He said picking up some pasta. 

"Let's make spaghetti bolognese" I said putting a few packets of spaghetti in the baskets.

Once we had finished the shopping we started to make our way home. 

"So a little birdie told me you have a wee crush" Harry said smirking. 

"W-what? Pfft no I d-don't" I stuttered and blushed. 

"You are such a bad liar El!" He laughed. 

"Who told you?" I asked curiously. 

"I was joking!.. and you just confirmed it! Yus! One point for Hazza no points for Ellie" He started cracking up laughing. Well now I just feel dumb...

"Oh My Gosh! I hate you!" I said jokingly hitting his shoulder.  

"Okay okay Confession time. Me and the boys were listening to you and Ava talking..." He confessed looking down. What?! They eavesdropped? Did Niall hear? What if they all knew? Oh my gosh this is not good. 

"Elena, Don't worry we didn't hear who it was, just that you had a crush" He said quickly.

Harry's POV:

I looked at her and it looked like she was stressing about the fact that we had eavesdropped, maybe I shouldn't have told her.  

"Elena, Don't worry we didn't hear who it was, just that you had a crush" I said trying to comfort her. 

"Oh that's good then" She said relieved. I really wanted to know who she liked, I know Niall likes her at first I thought they would go so well together but I think I've started to develop feelings for her and I want to know the possibility of her liking me back.  

"So are you going to let your good friend Harry know who this crush of yours is?" I raised my eyebrows. 

"Um... I don't know" She said contemplating. 

"Cmon pleease Ellie? I won't tell!" I begged. 

"Fine! Pinky promise you won't tell anyone?" She stuck her pinky out. 

"Pinky promise" I smiled linking my pinky with hers. 

"Okay.. I like Niall" I instantly felt jealous, of course she likes Niall.

Elena's POV:

"Okay.. I like Niall" I said hesitantly. I watched his smile falter a bit.  

"Oh... I think you should tell him" He said suddenly excited but it looked like he was faking it. 

"What?! I can't tell him! He probably doesn't even like me back!" I said freaking out for no reason. He gave me an 'I'm hiding something' smirk. 

"You never know El, but you have to take risks to find love" He said winking.

Anywaaay ONE DIRECTION ARE IN THE SAME CONTINENT AS ME! ASDFGHJKL; THE BOYS SHIRTLESS OMG .DEAD. And all the interview are sooooo funny and they all look so happy! Hope they have fun in New Zealand when they come here :D
