Chapter Ten - The Search

Previously on I'm Louis Tomlinsons Cousin:

She kissed me back then just ran off like she'd seen a ghost. I searched down the road she ran off to for another five minutes with no luck. I'm so stupid! This is all my fault. I dialled Louis' number.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Um Lou, We have a problem. I lost Elena as in she's missing. And I have no idea where to find her."

Chapter 10:

Niall's POV (still) :

"YOU WHAT?!" Louis yelled down the phone making me wince at his tone.

"Uh... I lost El" I said running my hand through my hair.

"HOW COULD YOU LOSE HER NIALL!? HOW IS THAT EVEN POSSIBLE!?"

"Let's meet up and I'll explain I'm outside near the ice cream parlour. Oh and Lou please don't kill me"

"Fine. Whatever Niall. I'll be there in five minutes"

I hung up the phone running my hand through my dyed blonde hair again. How could I let this happen? I just let her run away. I'm so stupid why did I have to kiss her?!

"Niall James Horan! Explain now." Louis yelled stomping towards me with Ava and the lads trying to keep Uup.

I explained everything to them from when we kissed to Elena running off.  

I saw Ava with her phone pressed to her ear with a worried expression "She's not answering he phone" She stated.

"Why did you have to kiss her Niall?!" Louis yelled.

"Well she was fine and kissed me back then she suddenly got up and ran off!" I explained.

"Oh. Flashback. She must have had a flashback" Ava said understanding, "She was in a pretty bad relationship a few months ago and isn't completely healed from it"

"And you didn't think to tell me this?!" I snapped at Ava.

"Calm down mate we should be focussing on trying to find Elena not standing here yelling at each other" Liam said trying to calm everyone down.

"I told Zayn! I thought he would tell you!" Ava exclaimed ignoring Liam completely. I turned to Zayn who had a guilty expression on his face.

"Well?" I asked wanting an explanation.

"Uh.. I forgot?"

"You forgot. You forgot. Zayn how the fuck could you forget that?! How could you just forget to warn me?!" I said fuming.

"Cmon guys let's just go find her. Let's split up and meet back here in half an hour. Keep your phones on incase anyone finds her" Liam said as we went in different directions to search for El.

Elena POV:

I ran as fast as I could across to the park then I tripped and twisted my ankle near a tree. I tried to get back up but I hissed as pain shot through my ankle and I collapsed again.

I grabbed my phone.

7 missed calls 

6 Messages

I made it to the first message from Niall

- El, Where are you? Please answer. I'm sorry...

Then the screen went black signalling a dead battery. No! This can't be happening. I'm stuck here with no way to let anyone know where I am and to add to that Niall thinks it's all his fault. Argh. Elena, you are so stupid. Why did I have to run?! The last thing I wanted was for Niall to blame himself and now what the hell am I supposed to do?

I felt my adrenaline slowly disappear making my ankle swell with pain I felt a tear roll down my cheek. I did the only thing I thought could help.

"Niall! Louis! Ava! Harry!" I yelled out hoping for help but nothing seemed to be working. So I just gave up as the dark clouds formed above my head in the sky and the raindrops started to fall. My tears caused by pain were washed away in with the rain. (A/N: hehe that rhymes :P )

Louis' POV:

I ran back to the ice cream parlour to meet the other again just as it started to rain. The rain was really starting to fall hard now making it hard to see. I looked up and saw the outline of the ice cream parlour through the rain and under the shelter on the bench I saw someone with their head in their hands, as I got closer I realised it was Niall and sat down beside him.

He looked up at me and instantly started apologizing, "Lou, I'm so sorry, this is all my fault, I was stupid, I didn't know she would-"

"NIALL! It's alright. Sorry for snapping at you and getting angry, I shouldn't have taken it out on only you"

"Thanks Lou," He said with a sad smile, "Any news from Elena?"

"Not that I know of, we'll wait for the others then look again" I said as reassuringly as I could. I could tell Niall felt really bad about this so we need to find Elena and fast.

I heard voices over the rain and saw the others run under the shelter.

"Any luck?" I asked hopefully. Everyone answered with worried expressions and shaking of their heads.

"Okay I'm going out to find her again" I stated jumping up and making my way through the rain.

Elena's POV:

My body was shivering and my ankle was pulsing with pain. I was lucky enough to have fallen under a large tree that stopped the rain from completely drenching me but I was still a bit wet.

I heard fast footsteps like running getting closer then they stopped.

"El! Elena!" I heard a familiar voice call.

"L-Lou! L-Louis! I'm over-r-r here!" I called back desperately hoping he could hear me over the rain as I shivered in the now freezing cold atmosphere.

"El! Hold on I'm coming" I heard Louis call but soon my senses went weaker and I was only slightly aware of being carried and Louis telling me "stay awake it will be okay" before I blacked out.
