Previously on I'm Louis Tomlinson's Cousin:

I hopped into bed and studied the ceiling letting thoughts run through my mind. Images of Elena's scar on her side flashed in my mind so right then I made a promise Elena and also myself. I whispered out loud.

"I promise I'll never hurt you Elena, I promise to protect you no matter what"i

And with that I drifted into a dreamless sleep.

Chapter 14:

Elena's POV:

I walked along the beach alone, just listening to the waves crash on shore. A familiar blonde boy started walking towards me with a smile on his face. When he reached me he placed his hand on my waist, "Niall" I said with a smile.

"Elena" he said, his face mirroring mine as he gently leaned forward and I closed my eyes as I waited for his lips to touch mine, they never did. I opened my eyes and I was in my room again. It was all a dream. I quickly glanced at the clock, it had only been half an hour?!

I closed my eyes slowly drifting back to sleep when I heard a sigh and realised Niall had come to bed. I focused on his breathing to get me back to sleep when I heard him whisper;

""I promise I'll never hurt you Elena, I promise to protect you no matter what"

I was taken back by this and almost turned to say something but I decided to let it be. So I promised myself that I would give him a chance, it was time I moved on from the past, I just need to figure out how to talk to him.

The next three days I didn't talked to Niall and he didn't talk to me. When we made eye contact or accidently bumped into each other, He would give a small smile then walk off but I could see in his eyes that he was feeling pain and guilt.

Even though we weren't talking he would always say sweet dreams to me before I fell asleep and hummed a little lullaby subconsciously. I missed being so carefree with him. I missed the way he used to look at me and his bright smile and contagious laugh. Now everything was slightly awkward.

I had been told by all the people in this house to stay in bed or on the sofa and to rest my leg, no matter how much I had protested they wouldn't give up. It had been three days so I could get up and move on my leg now.

I realised that we had only been here for a week and so much had happened but this meant we only had a week left with the boys.

"Hey Elena, Let's go down to that cafe on the corner for breakfast and have a little girl time" Ava interrupted my thoughts with her suggestion.

"Sounds good, I'll just quickly get ready, you should leave a note for the boys if they wake up" I said with a smile.

I had a quick shower and changed into black skinny jeans and a top that had forever young printed on it with dark blue converse and a denim jacket. I tied my hair in a messy bun securing it with a ribbon then made my way downstairs.

"Ready to go?" Ava said grabbing her bag.

"Yep, Let's go" I said walking out the door to the cafe.

We made it to the little cafe in about 5 minutes since it was just down the street. It had a nice atmosphere to it, there were little booths around the edges of the cafe with cream leather seats and there were small square tables in the middle. The walls were decorated with cream and light coloured floral patterns.

"This place is so pretty" I said out loud.

"I know, wait until you taste the food!" Ava said walking towards the counter. I looked at the menu while Ava ordered a chocolate chip muffin and a caramel hot chocolate.
