i sighed as i looked over at my boyfriend shawn smiling at his phone. for the past month things have been weird between us. he's super awkward about things, super cautious, and nothing is the same as it once was.
im beginning to worry. shawn and i have been together for nearly 3 years. we've always been that couple everyone adored. ill admit, we make a good couple, but things may be changing.
"who's on your mind?" i asked him.
he quickly looked up from his phone and at me.
"nobody." he answered.
i could've answered that myself.
"funny.. this 'nobody' seems pretty interesting. there must be something about her that i dont do. she must make you smile more than i can." i said and got up and walked to our room upstairs.
"wait, y/n!" he said following behind me.
"no shawn, i already know. your 'nobody' called you last night while you were showering, i didnt recognize the number so i answered. a girls voice came from the other line. she asked me why i answered, then i asked for her name and she hung up. about 10 minutes later you got a text from her asking if you were alone yet." i said with my back facing him.
"i-"
"you what? i'm sorry you got bored of me, i'm sorry my 'boringness' made you desperate enough to talk to another woman while you were in a relationship with someone who loves you with every square inch of her heart. im so sorry. just remember i can love you like nobody can, even better."
