"I like Gus," I nod while setting my book down on my night table.

"I thought you would,"

"Why would you think that?" I curiously wonder out loud.

"You always seem to go for the outgoing people out there, those who are extremely handsome and well known," he breaths. "You've never cared about how they really are inside, and you never will."

"That's not true," I whisper.

"Yes it is," he angrily says. "If it wasn't true you would be with me,"

"I can't be with you,"

"Why not?!" He raises his hands angrily.
