The Hospital (Requested)

Chelsea sighed as she quickly threw backpacks in the back of the car her husband Keith had a really bad fever that just wouldn't break and he had been refusing to eat and drink.

So she immediately called the hospital and she had called a friend to watch their little girls Sunday and Faith

She sighed again as Sunday, Faith and Keith were already waiting in the car.

Poor Keith was coughing and he didn't sound good at all.

It had all started a few days ago when he had a low grade fever but over the past few days his fever skyrocketed to 104.5

She immediately closes the trunk and runs to the drivers side and gets in.

Poor Keith is sweating and he's shaking from fear.
Both Sunday and Faith have no idea what's going on. Keith gags and coughs as
Chelsea handed him a bag he then Pukes

and Faith flinches and Sunday says "Ewww"

Chelsea frowned as he whimpers and cries.

"Shh it's ok baby calm down" she says gently

"I know you don't want to go to the hospital but it's for Your own good" she says as she closes the driver side door and quickly drives to her Friend's house to Drop off The girls.

You quickly get out and get The girls and then go and get their bags from the trunk.

Your friend Paige is waiting for you "hey Paige thanks for doing this on such short notice.

But thank you I just can't take care of a six year old and a eight year old in a hospital." Chelsea says as she hands Paige The two backpacks

"No problem" Paige says "I'll take care of then as long as you need me too." She says as she calls the girls before leading them towards the house.

"Thank you bye girls have fun and behave" Chelsea says quickly as she rushes back to the car.
10 minutes later.

You pull up to the parking lot as Keith whimpers and gags he's sweating and looks pale.

Why do we have to do this?" He wails "Because you haven't been eating or drinking for the past few days"
you reply as you get out of the car he does the same and stumbles and looks dizzy.

Chelsea rushes to his aide and helps him walk to the entrance with two bags of stuff. For his admission.

Once you get inside they Check Keith in as he whines and gags and winces in Pain.

15 minutes later
Your now in a hospital room Keith laying on a hospital bed attached to An IV to give him fluids and another IV for Nutrients.

"Good thing you brought him in when you did Chelsea."

The Doctor says "if you hadn't brought him in he would be so much worse"'

"thankfully you caught it before it got worse because he's so scared and upset we might have to sedate him so he can sleep tonight but we won't do that yet."

He says as you reach for Keith's hand.

Keith wails and looks sadly at you with tears in his eyes as the doctor leaves.

"It's ok Keithy Calm down ok and you haven't been sleeping well so they have to help you sleep it's ok you can calm down" she says as she holds his hand in hers and gently squeezes it.

Later that night after Keith was given a light sedative to sleep.

You sigh as you watch Keith sleep for a first time in a few days.

The last few nights had been rough he had woken up and puked and coughed all night long.
And now finally he was getting some well needed sleep. You eventually fell asleep too.

You don't wake up until Keith starts to call for you at 3:00 AM.

"Chelsea, Chelsea" he calls  over and over until you came over.

"What's wrong Keithy?" You ask concern laced in your voice.

"I'm scared" he whines as he reaches for your hand.
"Oh Keith it's ok I'm right here I'm not going anywhere do you want me to sleep with you?"

He nods as you go and climb over the bed railing to join him.

He sighs as you lay down next to him and hug him close he buries his head against your chest and whimpers in pain as you run a hand through his hair and kiss his head as he whimpers and starts crying.

"Shh Keithy calm down it's ok I know you don't feel good just calm down and try to calm down" you say as he cries after a few minutes he falls back asleep.
Giving you time to sleep as well.

The next few days were spent in the Hospital helping Keith get better he stayed in the hospital for 4 days before being declared healthy enough to go home.
