Missing his Dad/upset at concert

You sigh as you watch Keith do his concert he had been upset all day because he really missed his dad not only that but he was also still recovering from a cold.

He starts singing the 3rd to last song of the night the song he sings? His song he had written for his dad.

He starts to tear up during the middle of the song. Before he stops singing and one of his stage hands comes over to talk to him.

The stage hand places his hand on Keith's shoulder.

As Keith looks down at his feet.

He stands like that for a minute before standing up he takes a deep breath his stage hand reaches out and hugs him. Keith sighs in his friend's embrace.

Keith then pulls away and turns to face the crowd. His friend goes over to the microphone stand and takes the microphone. Saying "Keith needs a break"  some fans boo and call out while others frown.

As Keith whimpers and takes his guitar off before handing it over to his friend.

He then turns and runs backstage.

Once he finds you sitting on the couch you stand up and he runs to you he hugs you immediately as he burst into tears.

You hug him close and rub his back.

"Oh Keithy You poor thing it's ok buddy it's ok calm down" you say in a Attempt to calm him.

You then pull away and sit back down on the couch Keith sits next to you sobbing he snuggles up against you burying his head against your chest.

The poor thing was crying and shaking and sniffing.

You could tell he was tired and not feeling very well. You both ended up having to go to the tour bus because of how upset Keith was.

Later that night
You sigh as you listen to Keith coughing. You had tried to get him to calm down and get some sleep.

Once he was calmer he fell asleep and now he was having a coughing fit. You sigh as you get up to go comfort him.

You find him awake sitting up and coughing. "Hey bud do you need water? You don't sound good" you say as you head to go get a water bottle from the mini fridge.

You then head over to him and hand it to him. He takes it and sighs as he takes the cap off and takes a few sips.

"How do you feel now?" You ask as he takes a few more sips of water. He sighs as he puts the cap back on the water bottle and hands it to you.

"I'm glad the girls are not here otherwise they'd be wondering what's going on and you obviously just need a lot of love right now"

you say. He nods and frowns.

It had only been 2 months since his dad's death leaving Keith's grief to still be fresh.

You sigh. "Do you need anything else?" You ask he shakes his head and sighs he looks away biting his lip.

He lets out a shaky sigh and you immediately know something's up.

"Keithy it's ok to be sad the fans understand that you need to rest and take the rest of the night off. It's really ok buddy." You tell him.

He reaches out to hug you and you hug him back. He whimpers and rests his head on your shoulder.

He sighs and you can tell he's relaxed. Then it starts raining outside you listen to the sound of the on the tour bus roof. It starts thundering and Keith startles.

"It's ok Keith it's just thunder." He relaxes again and you stay quiet for a few minutes before he says.

"I just couldn't stay out there"  "I really wanted to stay but I just couldn't I started to feel upset and I just couldn't stay because I just felt so bad"
He admits as his eyes fill with tears.

"Oh Keith" you say as you hug him tighter. He sighs as he pulls away and looks out the window.

As tears start to fall. You reach your hand out to wipe away his tears. He sighs heavily as you hug him.

"Just try to relax" you say in an attempt to calm him.

You ended up having to take some blankets and pillows to lay down next to Keith's bunk because he didn't want you to leave him once he he was finally calm.

He was finally able to fall asleep with you right nearby.
