I honestly don't what I should feel or think. Should I be happy that he finally realized I am done trying to mend our broken bond? Or should I be depressed that it took me four years to realize that not only did I lose my mother but I also lost my father? I wasted my last four years on a lost cause and it pained me to admit that. I was riding a train on the tracks of infinity...it would never end. No. It ends today because I just got off.

I should be happy, I concluded as I walked down the stairs. I should smile. And as I emerged from the stairwell, I saw my chance to smile. Jacob was chatting with another Agent. His back was towards me and he spoke animatedly with his hands. I took my time walking over there to give them time to finish their conversation. As I neared, I could hear bits of their conversation.

"Yeah, Amir got the mission with her," Jacob said. He sounded slightly mad but not enough for me to worry about.

"It's probably for the best. You would have served as a distraction." Mel Carbon. Mel is a great Agent. We had actually worked on some missions together in the past. He was with me on my last mission. I took my eyes off him for a split second and somebody broke his leg in 7 places. He has been in therapy for the last 6 months but he is gradually getting better.

"True," Jacob said as he scratched the back of his head. "And I know you are behind me, Lily." He announced as he turned around. I wasn't surprised he knew; he did have really good hearing like most Agents do. I smiled and waved at a departing Mel. "So, I heard that you have got a big mission coming up." He stated as looked me up and down.

I pulled my prize away from my body to show him. "Yuppers. Amir still here?" I asked as we started walking towards the elevator bank.

"No, he left shortly after the meeting. Why?"

I stopped walking and muttered, "God damn it, Amir!"

"What's wrong?" Jacob asked with concern.

"That dummy that left was my ride," I explained. I mentally cursed him and vowed to chew him out the next time I saw him, which was soon I hope.

"I can give you a ride," Jacob offered nonchalantly as he pressed the down button. The elevator arrived shortly after and we stepped in. We didn't need to give a form of identification because we are leaving the facility.

"Could you please?" I asked.

"Yeah, if you don't mind riding Sweet Ol' Sally," he said with a smirk. The elevator doors opened and we stepped out. We began walking to his assigned spot. When we got there, I swear I fell in love with the vehicle in his spot. He grabbed some helmets from the storage compartment and put my files in their place. I put mine on as Jacob got on and started it. The baby purred to life. With a grin, Jacob looked at me. He knew I had a weakness for motorcycles...well actually I have a weakness for anything that goes fast and is dangerous. That's why I love my line of work. "Hop on," he said as he patted the space behind him.

"Two conditions," I said holding up 2 fingers.

"Go on," he nodded.

"1: We take the long way. 2: No helmets," I told him as I took mine off.

Jacob laughed and grabbed my helmet. "Deal," he said as he put the helmets with my files. I hopped on behind him with a grin a mile long. I wrapped my arms around his waist and squeezed my inner things tight as he peeled out of the parking garage.

The wind blew through my hair as Jacob pushed 125MPH. The rocks and dirt flew up behind us as we barreled down the dirt road. The sun was beating on my bare skin. This was just perfect and for a while I felt like a normal teenage girl without a care in the world. I let go of Jake's waist to push the hair out of my face. Yup, this is just too perfect.
