I checked my watch and saw that I needed to be leaving in about 2 hours. I made sure I had everything before putting it in the trunk of my car. Today was the start of the V2 mission. It was currently 7AM and Amir was due here in about 15 minutes. I haven't seen him in 4 days; he was probably avoiding me and my revenge. The longer he avoids me, the easier it is for me to plot. Jacob was somewhere...I don't keep tabs on him.

I was pretty excited that we were collaborating with a different agency. We don't do too many joint missions in our district. You would think that since we are among the top ranked agencies, we would take part in joint missions. Although we are requested greatly, we turn down the ones that don't threaten civilians' everyday lives.

I grabbed the files and decided to skim through them as I waited for Amir to show up. You can never be over prepared, I'm always telling myself and others. Most of the information was implanted in my head because this had to be the 100th time going over these files. Shortly after I started reading the files, my phone vibrated. I put the files down and saw that Amir had messaged me:

'Be there in 2 mins'

I didn't bother replying because there really was no use if he was just going to be here in 2 minutes. I went back to reading the files and pretty soon, I heard a car pulling up my drive. A few minutes passed and then Amir walked in without knocking. Amir was wearing dark blue jeans and a white fit t-shirt.

"I already put my stuff in your car," he announced as he warnily sat next to me. Well, he actually plopped down next to me, causing me to be airborne for a few minor seconds.

"Great," I told him as I went back to reading the files.

"Are you really reading those again? Take a break already." He said as he scooped the files up. I stared at him and deciding it wasn't worth it, I ignored him.

"Look Lily," Amir began but I easily cut him off.

"Relax, Amir. I'm not going to get my revenge on you during the mission. We need to be focus on the task at hand 100%. So, you are safe. Until the mission is over, that is." I told him with an evil smile.

"Great..." He said. "That gives you more time to think and me more time to worry."

My response was cut off by both of our phones going off. Realizing this probably wasn't good news, we looked at each other before getting up and answering the phone.

"Hamiliton," I said as a hello.

"Agent Hamiliton, this is Agent Zolisk from NAA." A male said from the other line. His voice was low and gruff. It held authority to it.

"What's going on?" I asked.

"Is there anyway you guys could arrive here earlier than we had previously scheduled?"

"Be there in a few  hours," I told him before hanging up. I grabbed my keys and headed towards the door just as Amir hung up.

"That was the Director. We have a a jet waiting for us at hanger 10." He explained as I peeled out of the driveway.

"Your destination is about 20 minutes away. I suggest you start getting ready," our pilot informed us. I unbuckled myself and made my way over to the wall housing the parachutes. We got to the Agency in about 12 minutes and boarded the jet in 5. We were in the air about 20 minutes after I hung up with Agent Zolisk. We have been flying for about 2 and half hours at very dangerous and very illegal speeds. I put the harness on just as Amir emerged from the bathroom. His bladder chooses the worst times to be emptied. Amir put his on harness on in record time. We walked to the huge sliding door and waited for the signal.
