The next day was easy for them, Maggie stayed over while Glenn worked at the bank that day. Beth needed to get things done and Maggie didn't mind taking her niece out for some ice-cream and park playground fun. It was up town but Beth didn't mind, she had time to herself to get things done. Her old bed had been taken apart and put away in the attic and so she had Glenn put together her little girls slay bed. White iron along with white furniture with lots of yellow and bumble bee accents. Once done, she put away her clothes and then went back to her room, her parents bedding and clothes where boxed up and put away. She set new white linens and a blue and yellow plaid bedspread with blue and yellow pillows on her bed and made the bed. Her make up and hair supplies where put on the vanity near the closet and pictures of her baby where set on her low wide dresser.
Once done she set to grabbing dirty clothes and doing laundry, out front was the clothes line and so did it the old fashion way. It made her relax to work on the house. She pulled her blonde hair back into a braid and set about cleaning the clothes. She set the bucket by the line as she pulled out clean wet clothes and hung them up.
She felt better and soon noticed that the porch needed fixed. She sighed as she set aside the bucket and grabbed her keys and purse, checking herself in the mirror by the hall to make sure she wasn't a mess. Her yellow tank top and short jeans where clean, she pulled on her cowboy boots and got into her truck, driving off to a workshop in town. Hoping she'd find some help with her porch. Getting into town was easy, with it being small and all.
She parked out front of a workshop for tools and parts for home improvement, she walked inside and stopped at the counter where an old man stood. "Hello sir?"
He looked up from the newspaper in his hands and smiled,"Yes?"
She smiled,"I'm looking for some help, I have a patchy porch. It needs some new paint, nails and hard work. Do you know anyone that can help fix it?"
He set down the paper and grinned,"Actually I do young lady. There's a guy who comes to work here everyday. He works in the hunting section of the store. I'm sure he can be of some use, I'll have him stop by your home with the address and his work stuff if that alright?"
She grinned,"That's fine by me, I live on the Greene Farmland."
He gave off a spark of life in his old pale brown eyes,"Hershel Greene's Farm?"
She nodded,"Yessir, I'm his daughter. Beth Greene."
He smiled,"Ah little Beth. Its been years youngin', sure I'll have that boy come down. Do ya want to take the things you need now or have him pick it all out and you pay for it once the jobs done?"
She smiled and nodded,"I'll pay him once the job is done. If that alright?"
The old man nodded,"That's fine child. I'll send him when he gets here."She thanked him and set off to the grocery store. She needed to fill that fridge up and maybe get some beers for that worker that's coming today.

She got back home and saw no car or truck out front so she got the groceries put away, along with the beers of Budweiser. She pulled back and heard the phone go off in the house, she picked it up and smiled."Hello Greene Residence."
She grinned when she heard her sister curse a little."Maggie, you okay?"She heard a sigh,"Yeah I'm good. Just stubbed my toe on the coffee table. So How's the house work commin'?"
Beth looked out front when she heard a old truck pull up, its sound loud from the kitchen."Well, I did some chores but right now I have to greet my porch fixer, he's gonna help me fix that darned thing."
