After a week of him fixing her porch, he had finally finished it. Painted to for her and when she walked out she noticed it was all white, beautiful wood posts where repainted also. She smiled at his handy work as he stood by his truck cleaning off the flakes of white paint from his hands and putting away his tools.
She walked down and out to his truck and he stopped what he was doing to talk with her."Well it's done, I painted it also so you won't hav'ta do it."
She smiled back and nodded,"I love it, you did great Daryl."
She had gotten used to calling him by his first name, he gave her a stink eye once for calling him Mr.Dixon. She stopped that instantly."Here, I'll pay you now if that's alright?"She handed him the exact price for the hard work and gave him extra for doing the painting. He raised an eyebrow but didn't say a thing about it.
He was about to get back into his truck to leave but she stopped him, leaning against the window with a blush on her face.He stared and waited for her to say something, she did and it made him stare in shock."Would you like to have dinner with me tonight?"
He watched her squirm a little with a red face before he leaned over, his arm in the window with a smirk."Sure, what time ya wan' me aroun'?"
She blinked and grinned,"How 'bout 6 o'clock?"
He nodded,"Sure thang Ms.Greene."
She snorted,"How about you call me Beth and I'll make ya some apple pie for dessert tonight?"
He raised an eyebrow at her and smirked,"Ain'tcha bossy, sure. Beth."
She smiled,"See ya tonight Daryl."She started walking off, making sure to put a little more swing in her step and made her wide hips swing along. Knowing his eyes were watching her walk away. She got to her newly done porch as she heard him take off and once she felt that he was finally gone, she bounced up and down. Squealing a little and racing to the phone to call Maggie.
She waited as she listened to the ringing and than she grinned once she heard her sisters voice."Maggie! Oh my god, I have a date!"
She heard a squeal from the other side and some giggling."Holy hell! Seriously? With who?"
Beth giggled,"With mister handy man."
Maggie laughed out loud from her side of the phone."Dear god, your serious? Damn baby sis, you work fast! Its only been a week!"
Beth snorted,"So? Zack's gone and I'm a single woman now. I deserve some type of happiness."
Maggie sighed,"I know hon, I know. Well did ya need me to do anything for ya?"
Beth smiled,"Yeah, can you take Molly for the night? Bring her tomorrow in the mornin'?"
She heard a snort,"Sure I can. Just call me tomorrow to say when I can bring her."Beth smiled and wished her a good night and left to start in on making the house look nice and ready for her date that might or might not take all night.

After an hour of getting new sheets on her bed, pulling out her nice dishes and bringing up her wine from the cellar she felt like dinner can start. She was making her mama's home made stew with home grown veggies and meat. Once that was put into cooking, she started in on making her famous home made apple pie. Once that was going, she went up and started to get herself ready, taking a relaxing bubble bath with vanilla and spice scents and lotions. Soon she came out smelling like a dessert herself, that mind set made her giggle thinking he might just eat her instead of the pie.
She walked into her room and started in on what to wear, green mint colored lace undergarments that brought out the sexy and sweet appeal of her. She got out a nice dress, not one to be to formal but enough to make her feel sexy and gorgeous all in one go. Floral worked for her style along with her complexion, short skirt to her thighs to show off a lot of skin but hide away her goods and a belt at the waist in brown to give support and some bold color. She pulled her blonde hair from her towel and blow dried it, curled it some and added light color to her eyes with lip gloss. She put in brown dream catcher earring's and put on brown heels. She stood back from the vanity and smiled, she was gorgeous. He'd kill to get with her. She blushed but grinned. She went back into the kitchen and set the food on simmer once she checked to see if it was finished, it was. She took out the pie and set it on a high glass pie stand and let it cool.
Soon everything was finished and now she set the table in the dining room, a nice size for more then her or her daughter but at the end by the fire place would work. She set out her dishes and silverware and linens. She finished everything and smiled, standing back and looking at all she did for the night, something she hoped he'd not mind. Than the door was knocked on and she grinned, fixing herself in the mirror and than went to the door and opened it.
