This chapter's cute, and maybe kinda weird, but I don't care.

*July*
It was finally July, and I'm finally going to get this stupid boot off. I anxiously tapped on my dark phone screen waiting on the freaking doctor. Matt held my other converse in his hand. He has been laughing at me all day, but I don't care.
About ten minutes later the doctor takes me back into the examination room and takes off the boot. He moves my leg around to see if it's still movable or whatever kind of crap he's supposed to do. The nurse brings in a wheel chair.
"This is just a safety precaution, I don't want you to be walking around on your leg until after your x-rays," the doctor smiles at me.
I nod.
"Is there any chance you are, or think you could be pregnant?" the nurse asks me as she rolls me down the hall to an x-ray room.
I chew on my bottom lip, as I shake my head.
"Are you absolutely sure? Because the radiation could hurt the baby," she says.
I nod my head, "I'm positive."
She gives me a soft irritated smile.
About ten minutes later I'm back in the examination room with Matt, and the doctor. I swung my legs back and forth as they dangled off the exam table.
"Well," the doctor starts, "It looks like you're good to go."

I smiled as I watched the clouds roll by. The radio is playing but neither me or Matt pay attention to it. Matt has a weird smile on his face when we pull up to some place my mom loves to eat at. It's funny because I've been here a million times and I still don't know what this place is called. Matt and I are supposed to meet my mom here and she's no where.
I look down at my phone and see a text from Harry.
FROM: Harry
Call me later love?
I smile before typing back.

I slide my phone in my back pocket when I see my moms car pull into the parking lot. But it wasn't just my mom in the car, it was my mom and my dad.
I put my hand over my mouth trying to keep my sobs inside, but failed epically. I practically tackled him. "Hey Jessie," he says, tears forming in his own eyes.
"You're really back," I say.
He kisses the side of my head, "Yeah, kid, I'm not going anywhere."

I couldn't believe it, I couldn't stop freaking out long enough to eat. My dad was home, he was really home.
"So," my dad starts, "My little graduate, huh?"
I smile and nod. Matt smiles at my mom. "You knew didn't you!" I say to Matt.
He looks at me and shrugs his shoulders, with a small smile. I hit him in the arm, and he laughs.
"So how's Jacob?" my dad asks.
I look at Matt and then at my mom, the tension changed completely, from happy to not so happy in a matter of seconds. "We um don't talk anymore." I say picking at the green lettuce on my plate.
