Chapter 13
Ross' POV
A small part of me felt bad when I told Laura to get out. Only like three percent. I couldn't believe she still hated me. She changed me, and more importantly, she broke my heart.
This, is why I never wanted to fall in love. I was always scared of getting rejected. That's why I only stay with girls for about a day and move on to the next one.
I needed something. Something that would take my pain away. That's when an idea popped into my head. I grab the hospital phone and start dialing a number.
"Hello?"
"Hey, it's me, Ross."
"You must have a lot of nerve calling me back after what you did, Ross."
"I know, and I'm sorry. Can you forgive me?"
I know I wasn't being truthful, but I just needed somebody to take the pain away from me right now, and I don't care if it was none other than Sofia Güteson.
"I-I don't know, Ross..."
"Just meet me at St. Vincent's in room 28B."
She sighs, "I'll be there."
..
No later than fifteen minutes, Sofia was knocking at the door. I motioned her to come inside and she walks in, arms crossed.
"How did you end up in this death place anyway?" She asks.
"Um, t-that's doesn't matter right now," I extended my arm out to pull her onto the bed with me. "All that matters right now to me, is us."
Sofia rolls her eyes, "Don't play that bullshit with me, Lynch. I already know your tricks, and I will not be a rebound for your sorry a-"
Before she finished her sentence I cut her off by smashing my lips against hers. Sofia kisses back, and it begins to get more heated. I was starting to take off her shirt until she grabbed my hand, telling me not go any further.
"L-Let's save that for when you get outta here," she mumbled against my lips. I smirked.
"Can you sign me out, babe?" I asked. Sofia nodded, standing up and walking out the room.
Laura's POV
I pulled up to a stoplight and started thinking. I don't know what I did to Ross to make him hate me. And if he heard anything I said-
Wait...
- "Oh, what a relief!" I sat back down in my chair and breathed. I'm glad he's gonna be okay. I looked up to see Vanessa smiling at me.
"You like him don't you?"
"Wha- no! I don't like him..." -
Ross must've heard me talking to Vanessa! That's probably why he's mad at me!
It all makes sense now.
Once the red light turned green, I made a U-turn back towards the hospital. I'm gonna make things right between us again.
~
I parked in the hospital parking lot and walked to the elevator. Good thing I had my hospital sticker still on my jacket, 'cause I probably wouldn't be able to get in without it.
I walked to Ross' room and looked through the window, but wished that I wouldn't have looked inside at that moment.
Because what I saw, would be stuck in my mind forever.
