Chapter 9

Monday

Laura's POV

I didn't think I could face anyone at school today, so I faked being sick and stayed home. I still can't even focus anymore because all that's happen this past week.

-Lynette totally turned in me and stabbed me in the back

-Started realizing feelings for Ross

-And having a nightmare about Ross

I still can't figure out why I dreamt Ross would do that. I mean, he's a bad guy and all, but I've seen his sensitive side before and I shouldn't have nothing to worry about, right?

I grabbed my laptop off my desk and searched up websites for homeschooling. I don't think I can show my face at school ever again - not with Lynette and Luke spreading those rumors at least. Besides, think about all the good things that come with it; no more waking up in the morning, but more importantly, no more drama.

"Laura sweetie, are you okay in there?" My mom called out from the other side of my door, startling me. I closed my laptop and hid it under my covers.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I yell back.

"Well, you have a visitor here."

A visitor? Who would come to see me? "Okay..."

The door swung open and my mom let Ross walk in, closing the door behind her.

"You look terrible." He chuckles.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm pretending. I didn't want to go today," I grab my laptop as I feel the bed dip, him sitting at the end of my bed. "Aren't you supposed to be in school?"

"Have you met me?"

A smirk spreads across my face. "Touché"

"So, why didn't you wanna go?" He asks.

"I can't show my face at school, everyone will think of me as a joke. I can't let my reputation slip away from me by becoming the laughing stock of school, so I decided to do this instead."

I turned my laptop towards him so he can see the website: www.VirtualEDU.com

"Homeschool? You're really doing this - just because of some rumor?" Ross asked.

"Yes. There's something about me that you don't know that happened to me in my freshman year, and I'm not gonna let that happen to me again."

Ross' POV

Why would Laura do something as stupid as homeschool? She shouldn't do this because of Lynette. But hey, I can't stop her once she sets her mind to something.

One of the things I kinda like about her.

"Don't think you can talk me out of it because I'm signing up now." Laura started typing away on her laptop, but I grabbed it and put it on top of her shelf.

"I'm not letting you do this, Laura. You should stay in public school." I said, getting back on her bed.

"Ross, I want to, wether you like it or not."

I crawled on top of her and brushed my lips onto her neck. "But what if I wanted you to stay?" I whispered.

I could tell she was being turned on my this. I started to plant little kisses on her neck and sucked on her earlobe.

"R...Ross, I-I wanna,"

"Shhh." I started to suck on her neck, receiving a small moan by her. I kissed her up to her jawline, then onto her lips. I could taste her strawberry lipgloss on her lips, making our lips stick together a little. Laura started to play with my hair in between the kiss, but she decides to pull away.

"Ross, do you really want me to stay that badly?" She asks, caressing my hair.

"Yes, I do. We can get through this together."

A smile spreads across Laura's face once I told her that. Then an idea pops into my head.

"Come here, I wanna take you somewhere."
