Chapter 18

Laura's POV

So, here I am again at Brittany's place, crying my eyes out and stuffing my face with Nutella and other junk food.

"So what you're saying is, he kissed your maid?" Brittany questioned.

"No, almost," I corrected. "But that still doesn't change the fact that he was so close to doing it."

"I know, and I'm so sorry this had to happen again."

I sniffled, "It's okay. Thanks for always being there for me, Britt."

"Hey, I'll always be there for you. Speaking of always..."

Brittany stood up and walked over to her bookshelf where she keeps all of her movies. "Guess what I got."

I gasped, "You didn't."

She pulled out The Fault in Our Stars movie. "Yes, I did."

I screamed. I can't believe I'm gonna watch The Fault in Our Stars!

"Well, wait are we waiting for?" She screams. "Go downstairs, pop some popcorn and let's start this thing!"

I instantly ran down to her kitchen and almost destroyed her cabinets looking for some popcorn. When I found it I put it in the microwave and looked for some more snacks.

"Don't forget the candy!" Brittany shouted. "It's in the third drawer to the left!"

I looked where she told me to and there it was. A load of different kinds of candy: caamel, chocolate, gummy bears; the whole nine yards.

The popcorn was done and I poured it in a bowl. I threw away the bag, put the candy and popcorn in a tray, then headed upstairs to Brittany.

"Finally - Now press play already!"

Ross' POV

What have I done? I screwed up, again. I got Laura back, and I blew it, again. This is just great...

"Hey little bro." Riker walked into the room. "Mom's taking us out to pizza, you coming?"

"I'm not hungry."

"What? C'mon it's Pizza Hut. You love them-"

"I said I'm not hungry!"

"Whoa, what's up with you?"

I didn't answer.

"Oh, I know what this is about. This is about you screwing up with Laura." Riker sat at the end of the bed. "Look dude, I know you messed up. But you gotta learn that being in a relationship means that you can't fall for any other girl. When you're in a relationship, you gotta focus on her and only her. It's all about compromise. You'll get her back, trust me. You just gotta think of a good plan to do it."

I looked at him. For the first time ever, Riker gave me some good advice - about relationships.

"How do you know all this?"

"I may or may not be in a relationship with her sister-"

"You're dating Laura's sister?!"

Riker covered my mouth. "Shut. Up." He got up and walked to the door. "Are you coming for pizza or what?"

I sighed, "Yeah, I'll go."

"Be down in five."

I started to think - Riker was right. Now that I was in a relationship with Laura, I had to commit to that relationship.

And that's exactly what I'm gonna do.
