Chapter 21

Laura's POV

I had no idea it was Sofia. I have to say, she did look surprisingly familiar, but Sofia would be the last person I would've suspected.

"Are you sure it's her?"

Brittany grabbed her laptop and pulled up a picture of Sofia and 'Emma'. "I'm positive. As soon as you told me what happened, I scanned her face and it matched with Sofia."

Well, I can't argue with science and technology. I can't believe her - that flat-chested-ugly-fake-hair-wearing bitch.

Britt closed her laptop and set it aside. "I'm sorry, Laur, but it's her."

I sighed. I got tricked by Sofia, again. I lost Ross, again. I just don't know why fate is so cruel. What did I ever do to deserve this? Someone please tell me.

My thoughts were interrupted by my phone buzzing in my pocket. It was a text from an unknown number.

From: unknown
To: me
You better cancel that little date you have with Ross, or expect to get hurt, Marano

I started to get nervous. Sofia - I knew it was her. Who else calls me by my last name?

"What is it?" Brittany asked, looking over at my phone. I handed my phone to her, standing up from the ground.

Brittany gasped, "Is this Sofia?"

"It has to be - nobody else calls me by my last name." I ran my hand through my hair. This drama is just to stressful. Ever since this shit with Ross, Lynette, Sofia and I started, my life was just flipped upside down.

And the worst part: my family still thinks I'm a straight A, goodie-two-shoes dork.

Ross' POV

It's 5:00 p.m. In two hours I'll have to go and pick up Laura for the carnival. I know it's corny to go to a carnival, and whatever, but I just want to spend some time with Laura. Hopefully she'll forgive me and we can get back together without anymore screw ups.

I walked to my closet to find something to wear. I chose to wear something casual - it is a carnival, after all - my white V-neck shirt with some jeans, my black leather jacket and my black converse. I found my cologne that I know Laura likes.

After getting dressed I grabbed $50.00 I had saved in my money box and headed downstairs. Of course I got stopped by Rydel and Riker in the living room.

"Hey, Rossy," Riker chuckled.

I groaned, "Riker, you know I hate being called that."

"Really? I didn't know that..." He acted like he didn't know what I was talking about.

"Riker, stop teasing him," Rydel hit him playfully on his arm. Thank you, sister.

I grabbed my keys off the key hook. "Guys, I gotta go, so..."

Rydel smiled at me, "You're taking Laura on a date?"

I sighed heavily. "We broke up, remember?"

"Oh right... Sorry."

"It's okay. Well... bye!" I rushed out of there and into the garage. I walked to my car and got in it, starting up the engine before I heard Riker yell:

"Make sure you use protection!"

Ugh. Sometimes, siblings are a pain in the ass.

..

Before going to Laura's place, I stopped at a flowers shop and picked up a bouquet of roses for her. After, I pulled up in front of Laura's house and walked up to the door, ringing the doorbell. I heard footsteps coming closer to the door until it opened and a beautiful Laura stood in my presence.
