What is up my awesome readers? Have I bored you to death yet? Yes, no? Ah, well, I think I'll introduce Peridot into this chapter... or maybe the next one. Doesn't mean there'll be any lovey-dovey stuff yet. I'm such a troll >;}

I reached out for her. "Go home, Lapis. I don't need you, Lapis." She continued to walk. I limped towards her, my fingers outstretched to touch her. "I said go home."
"I can't lose you again!" I begged, launching myself at her. I still couldn't reach. "Too bad." She walked to a chair and stood on it. She grabbed the noose and... and she jumped.
My heart shattered into a million pieces. No glue or tape could fix it. No love or emotion. I was now dead myself.

I woke up in a cold sweat. I was panting and I glared at the clock. 1:17 A.M., great. Just what I need. Blue ran into my room. "Are you alright? I heard you scream..." I sighed, "Yeah, I'm fine. Go back to sleep..."
Blue sighed, "Move over, Lapis," I looked at her oddly. "I'm sleeping with you for the rest of the night." She said, getting in to bed with me. I sighed, "Alright, then."
Blue giggled. "Hey, Lapis, you remember when we were young?"
"Not a care in the world."
"But we went off in different directions."
     "And our future changed."
"Do you remember when we were young? Not a care about tomorrow.~"
(Lyrics brought to you from a band my dad was in once. The song is called Young lol.) We hummed the tune together before Blue stopped first and fell asleep. I stayed up, gazing at the ceiling, trying to collect my thoughts.
Hopefully Peridot is okay. Wherever she is. And with that, I fell asleep.

I woke up to Blue snuggling me and snoring right in my ear. I groaned and pushed her off of me.
Blue rolled off of me and rolled off the bed and landed in the floor. She was still snoring.
I glanced at the clock. 10:47. I decided to go to the kitchen and make myself something good to eat. By good, I mean boiling some pre-made ramen.
I ate my noodles and looked around Blue's place. The traces of Yellow still lingered there. I knew I'd have to get her a date before I left.
I scribbled a note and left it on the fridge. It was just to let Blue know I was heading out. I jumped in my car and turned it on. The engine purred.
I decided to drive to the board walk of Beach City and maybe go to the arcade.
When I arrived at the arcade, I saw Steven, Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst. I tried to creep away, but Steven spotted me. "Lapis! It's been a while!" I grinned and waved at him.
The others just stared at me, so Steven was the only one who seemed happy to see me. "It sure has," I said softly. "How's Peridot?" I remember. Peridot and I used to hang out in the DeMayo barn. I remember that exact day.
The corn field rustled softly in the wind. Pumpkin, our stray dog we had adopted, was asleep by my bare feet. Peridot was supposed to meet me at the barn after school. Where was she?
I pet Pumpkin softly before deciding to leave. That was the point where I knew Peridot had disappeared.
Steven's hand was by my face when I came back to reality. "I'm sorry, you were crying." I swatted his hand away playfully and wiped my face on my arm. "Don't worry about it, Steven. Peridot's fine."
Steven giggled, "That's great! I haven't heard from her lately, so now I'll just rely on you." I faked a smile and nodded. "I have to get home now, it was nice talking to you. Goodbye, Steven."
I glanced at the others before leaving. I climbed back into my car and drove to Blue's place.

"Lapis, where have you been?" Blue scolded. "I said I was going out. Not like I was going to go prostitute myself out or anything." Blue groaned. "Your sarcasm is going to get you killed."
"Oh, well." I snapped back. Blue ran a hand through her hair. "Do you still want to go look for Peridot?" I nodded. "Alright, then let's take my car. Where are we going first?"
I shrugged, "I guess the post office." Blue just grabbed her car keys and walked out the door. I followed.

When we arrived at the post office, the first one I saw was Jamie. "Hey, Jamie." I greeted him. He smiled softly. "Did you get your mail today?" I shrugged. "Dunno. I'm living with someone else right now, but I've got a question since you're the mailman and all."
He nodded, "Ask away." I sighed. "Do you know the whereabouts of Peridot Diamond?" He perked up. "Oh, yes, actually. You know that apartment complex by Steven's house? She's over there. I have no idea what room she's in, though."
I grinned. A real, genuine grin. "Thank you so much, Jamie!" I ran off and jumped back into Blue's car. She was sitting there, gripping the wheel. "So, where to, buddy?"
"The apartments by Steven's place." Blue looked over at me. "Really? That place is a complete dump."
"It looks nice on the outside."
"You know what they say, Lazuli. Don't judge a book by its cover." And with that, we were off to the apartment to find Peridot.
