Kat's POV
The party was insane. That's all I knew. Waking up the next morning on the ground with a searing headache was the first thing that came next. I didn't remember a thing. That happened at the party, I mean. I remembered walking to the party. Seeing a house with pounding loud music, an auroa of bright lights, a wave of people at the front door, and cars lined up and down both sides of the street. My eyes scanned the surf of teenagers, trying to find something I could recognize. A face. A car. A shirt I might've seen earlier at school. Then I remembered Damon was suppose to be here. I finally found the familiar mop of blode hair against a tree.
Then it's gone. I draw I blank on what happened next. I try to relive the memory and find something. But nothing.
I finally have the courage to open my eyes.
And my eyes open. Flashes of black, green, and brown fill my vision. The morning light overwhelms me and I have to close my eyes again. Opening them once more, I was more use to the light.
It still took me a second to see where I was. I made out trees and grass as what I am seeing. I am still fully clothed. But that wasn't what was running through my head. How did I get here?
"Hello?" I said. I didn't expect an answer. But had to yell out anyway.
I heard a twig snap behind me. I quickly turned around and was met with glowing blue eyes. But not a person. It was hiding in a bush. The eyes was the outstanding facter in the wall of shadows it was trying to hide in. I heard another twig snap. This time to my left. My head jerked to my side and a wolf was standing there. But... It wasn't a wolf. I mean, it looked like a wolf, but bigger. It stood on it's paws and I could tell he could reach my chin. But I was a fairly tall person.
My eyes went wide as it growled. I backed up until both of the figures were in veiw. The blue-eyes wolf moved foward, out of the shadows. It had black fur. But a silver strip of fur was running diagnol across its back. It was shorter than the other wolf, who was brown, but still slimmer with a longer body.
I don't know when I realized I was in danger, maybe I knew it all along, but I turned and ran. I didn't know where. I knew enough to keep my eyes open and dodge trees. I heard the patter of paws behind me. I looked behind me, expecting to see the brown and black wolves chasing me. But that wasn't what I saw. Before I got a good look, I tripped on a fallen branch and landed on my back. All I got for the other image was a flash of gold. My eyes shut as I felt a form jump on top of me. I was thrashing around; kicking and screamming. It wasn't until I had given up that I noticed I wasn't even being hurt.
I managed to calm down enough to open my eyes. But before I did, I noticed it wasn't an animal on me. I felt hands on my wrist and legs on either side of me.
I was calm. I sat there. Panting quick breathes.
"Open your eyes." The person said. I knew the male voice, but I didn't want to believe it. When I looked back, I know, I swear, I saw anouther wolf. With golden fur. But something about his comforting voice told me to listen. But I still shook my head.
"It's okay." He told me. "I won't hurt you."
My eyelids fully opened. I knew he wouldn't hurt me. Jace was there, towering above me. His lack of shirt scared me.
"Get off." I whispered.
"Kat.." He said.
"I said get off!!" I yelled. I didn't know where I was still, and I wanted to know how I got here.
He got off me and stood. I took his outstretched hand and that's when something dawned on.
"Wait." I said. He stopped moving. I could see worry in his eyes.
"What happen to the gold wolf?" I asked. He gulped and started breathing harder.
I repeated. "What. Happen. To. The. Gold. Wolf?"
"Stay here." He said. Before I could protest, he walked behind a tree. I closed my eyes, attempting to remember the party again. Before I could, I felt something wet poke my hand and I open my eyes to see the gold wolf. My eyes went wide and I backed into a tree.
"No." I said. I denied the possibility. I pushed the thought out of my mind.
The wolfs' head nodded. How? Can it understand me?
"It isn't possible!" I said louder. The wolfs' head bowed as he laid down.
"Jace...?" I said. His head popped up and I realized the truth.
It's me... I heard the voice in my head. I quickly snapped my head around, looking for any other possibility.
I walked around the wolf. His head tilted as he looked at me quizickly. I quickly looked behind the tree Jace hid behind not five minutes ago. He wasn't here..
I told you, I'm right here! I looked at the wolf. He was now on his paws.
It's really him. Jace... He... He can tun into... No.
I didn't want to belive it so I ran. I ran through the forest without looking back until I finally burst through the edge of the trees and saw a house. I recognized it from last night. The yard was still littered in red solo cups and streamers. Some cars were still parked outside in the front but the house was silent.
I looked behind me but saw nothing coming toward me. I remembered the way home from here. But that wasn't where I was going.

I went to Damon's house. I needed to figure out what happened last night.
I rang the doorbell. No one answered.
I knocked on the door. Still no answer.
I found my phone in my back pocket and saw three missed calls from my mom. I would have to explain it to her later. I called Damon.
"Hello?" He answered. His voice was groggy from sleep. I knew I woke him up. I didn't care.
"Can't you hear me banging on your front door?!?" I practically screamed.
"What?" He said. I was passed the point of mad. I was ready to rip someone's head off. I wanted to get to the bottom of what happened!
"Open your damn door!!" I hung up. Three minutes later, the front door opened and there stood Damon. His blonde hair was everywhere and he was shirtless. His pajama pants hing loosely around his waist.
I walked straight in, knocking him on the shoulder.
"Hey! Watch where-" He tried to say before I cut him off.
"What happened last night?" I said.
"We went to the party!" He answered.
"The truth!" I said. "God! I want the truth for once! If all we did was go to the party, then what did we do there? Did you knock me out or something and dump me in the middle of the woods? Did you try to rape me and I ran and fell? Why did I wake up with no memory of last night? I need the truth!!!"
His hesitation to answer was all that I needed to know he was the one who made me lose me memory. But how? I needed the truth. I didn't want anymore lies. Paige's lie about loving me was a lie. She never liked me. I was just another one of the kids she would babysit! I needed the answer and asked him what I should've asked Jace.
"What are you?"

A/N: I am soooo sorry for the wait. This is not what I wanted to happen in the chapter and I am n=not happy with it cause it throws off what I had planned. It will be a while for the next update but I will try my best.
And, I know I let out a message a couple days saying I was going to put this story on a break until I found out what to do with it. I found out what was wrong. It wasn't writers block or me not knowing what to do. It was the fact that i was so distracted. A lot has been happening and it's kinda personal so I can't update that much. I will update as much as i can! :)
