Jimin's POV

Over the past 2 weeks Taehyung began to be closer in our small friend group and I made sure to keep in touch with Jin more even though he was often busy with his boyfriend. He claims they aren't dating but Namjoon is about to change that so they might as well be dating now. A kid transferred to our school about a month ago and that's who Taehyung has a crush on apparently.

He said he is going to ask the other out today and that they have been texting constantly. The kid knows sign Taehyung said so I think it'd be cool to meet him and talk to him. It's rare for people at our school to know sign so I'm curious as to why he does? Maybe he has a family member who is impaired.

I snapped out of my thoughts as dance started and I focused on doing what Hoseok was doing. We were partners for an assignment and he made the first half of the dance and I would make the second half. It seemed fun and I was excited, also glad we don't have to music to go with it so I won't have to bother Yoongi again.. I feel like i'm using him when I do that so I try not to ask him or anyone else but sometimes I can't change the fact I need help.

It was after school and I was practicing dance again and figuring out what I wanted to do for the project when Taehyung came into the room looking like a sad slug. I gave him a questioning look and he sighed and walked toward me. I stopped dancing and stared at him as he approached and soon he was just in front of me.

He looked down and then hugged me. I didn't know what to do but when he basically deflated in my arms I hugged him back assuming something was bothering him but he didn't want to waste his energy by trying to explain it. After a long and somewhat awkward hug he pulled back and handed me a note.

I opened the note and slowly read the messily scribbled writing.

I need your help. I messed things up with Jungkook.. I thought it would be cute to confess using sign since he knows sign but I must have done the wrong sign because he just rolled his eyes and walked away and now he won't text me or answer my calls... Did I do something wrong?

I sighed as I remembered when Yoongi "taught" him sign and I knew that's what the issue was. I didn't want Taehyung to hate Yoongi so I decided to keep that to myself and I shook my head.

"I'll fix it." I mouthed and he nodded seeming sad but he had slight hope in his eyes.

Next Day

I walked the halls in search of Jungkook... I was hoping he wouldn't actually be mad over something as silly as Taehyung signing the word poop to him. Finally I found him by the bathroom so I timidly pulled his sleeve to get his attention.

"Can I talk to you?" I signed and he widened his eyes at me before nodding.

"I don't want you to run off but why are you mad at Taehyung?" I signed and mouthed the other's name.

"Oh.. I just didn't like him being so immature about sign.. Like he said he wanted to tell me something important and since sign is important to me he said he was going to sign it and then he just signed to word poop.. Like he knows why sign is important to me so it just made me mad." Jungkook signed biting his lip.

"Why is sign important to you?" I asked next not being able to contain my curiosity.

"My mom was deaf... She passed away a while ago but I still learned sign for her and I don't want to forget it... Are you deaf?"
