Imagine always helping the Mikaelsons because you're in love with Elijah
Having Kol Mikaelson turn up on your doorstep at 2am would be surprising even on a normal day but last you'd heard he was dead. Not to mention you hadn't spoken to his entire family in anything more than a phone call every couple of years for nearly half a century.
"I need your help." Kol admitted.
"Well obviously." You rolled your eyes, grabbing a jacket. "Come on, you can explain in the car." You told him, knowing full well that the Mikaelsons never resorted to asking you for help unless the world was truly at its end.

Vincent paced up and down the room. "If the Hollow is reborn, it is going to burn this entire city to the ground."
"There has to be something." Hayley objected. "There has to be some kind of back up plan."
"Back up plan is pulling up now" Klaus smirked to himself as he walked in the room. "I figure, nothing stops a crazy witch like a crazy witch."
"You know I heard you call me crazy right?" You glared teasingly at the original hybrid as you entered the compound. Kol followed close behind you, quiet after you'd lectured him on manners for a solid half of the car trip. "You're lucky this is about Elijah. Waking me up at 2am? Are you serious?"
"I thought crazy never sleeps." Klaus retorted, slinging an arm over your shoulder and hugging you briefly.
"Please tell me you have a plan?" You asked, trying to place faces to names in the odd sock group before you. Marcel was easy to place, you'd met him when he was just a child though you doubted he remembered you by now. Order of elimination meant the other man was Vincent but you had no idea which of the girls was Freya and which was Hayley.
"I'm sorry, who are you?" The brunette girl questioned, giving Klaus a very much accusing look which quickly traced it's way back to Kol.
"Y/N Y/L/N, Mikaelson fail safe of 500 years." Kol interrupted. "She's a superwitch and sort of the great love of Elijah's life."
"Really? You're going with superwitch?" You rolled your eyes, completely ignoring his comment about Elijah seeing the glare wrapped across the brunette's face, now deciding she must be Hayley. "I was a siphon, my family linked me to covens to try and heal me, every time one of their descendants dies I gain half their power, the other half goes to the ancestors." You said filling the gaps in Kol's very limited explanation.
"You sure we can trust her?" Vincent eyed you sceptically. "I can't be the only one who sees the irony in trusting a witch created in the same way as the Hollow."
"There's no one left that I would trust more than, Y/N." Klaus assured him and you smiled. He had hidden countless secrets with you over the centuries, you still had white oak stakes hidden for him in case eternity ever became too long.

There was nothing you liked about their plan but you didn't have a choice. There was no certainty of whether you could cure Elijah's infection until you saw it so the necklace was the only option.
The Bayou was eerily quiet as you made your way towards the house that you'd tracked Elijah to. Even though you knew Freya was close by, keeping an eyes on Marcel's part of the plan, you felt truly alone.
The house finally came into view and you picked up your pace, knowing that the closer you got to Elijah the closer you'd be to the Hollow finding you. By some miracle, or perhaps the self-inflated confidence of the Hollow herself, the house was fully unwarded against intruders.
