I jumped through the never ending field of flowers, running through them as fast as I can. I was suddenly jumped by something bigger than me.

"You're it!" Suigin, my older brother shouted. He giggled and got off my back.
"No fair! You're faster than me!" I pouted. He chuckled again and pat my head.
"Maybe next time Hailey." A huge smile grew on my face when he picked me up and put me on his shoulders. I was 8 at the time and he was 13. He was my closest and only friend in a way. His dirty blonde hair was always in his bright green eyes, so he would constantly brush his hair away. We would always play games and run in the fields nearby the house while my mother and father watched. We were all so happy..... this was before the murder of my parents. We were so blissfully oblivious. That night.... I lost them all. Mom hung on a tree near our house, and dad was tied and thrown into a river. As for my brother.......he was stabbed and left for dead. He was the best thing to happen to me... and he was ripped away.
More images flashed before me. Some good, some bad. It didn't matter anymore. I let the floodgates open, and cried. The tears got more intense the more images flew in front of me, replaying past events. I was nearly about to collapse when an image flashed before me. It was my brother, smiling. But he looked older, and a bit raggedy. I reached out for him but I just couldn't grasp him. I yell out, but to no avail. He couldn't hear me.
.
.
.
...no one could.

"HAILEY!!!!"
"GAH!!" I screamed, falling out of bed. I peeked through the mess of pillows and blankets to see who had woken me up. Natsu was sitting at the edge of the bed, looking at me worriedly.
"Are you okay? You were crying."
I felt my face, which I now realized was damp with tears. I wiped it away and muttered an 'I'm fine'. I then blinked a couple times realizing the situation, before blushing immensely.

A boy....

Is in my room....

While I was asleep.....

Wearing nothing but a bra and pajama shorts......

"Get out!" I screamed, shoving him out the door, whilst covering myself as best I could. Once he was gone, I shoved a pair of pants on, and pulled on a shirt.

I took some deep breaths to calm my nerves and walked out of my room. As I walked to the living room I heard an angry Lucy scolding Natsu.
"First you eat all my food and then you watch a girl while she's sleeping?! Unbelievable!" She yelled.
"WHAT?! I was seeing if she was okay!" He argued.
"Oh yeah likely story!" She said.
"He was." I interjected.
They both stared at me, Lucy with shock, and Natsu, once again, with worry. "Don't worry about me Natsu, it was just a nightmare" I slightly lied.

Yeah, a nightmare I call my life. I internally sighed. His face relaxed and Lucy glanced sideways awkwardly.
"Oh shoot!" Lucy blurted. "I need to pay rent soon!" At her words I mentally slapped myself. I  FORGOT MY PURSE AT MY APARTMENT!
"DAMN IT!" I shouted and bolted out the door. Let's just say I got really weird looks from my friends. I went to my room, yanked Melanie with me, and ran out the door saying a quick goodbye to my friends.
Well, time to get on the ride of my nightmares. We boarded our train and headed home. As grumpy as she looked about me pulling her out of bed, she was too tired to lecture, so she fell asleep when we sat down.
Le timeskip~

I slightly swerved when we got off the train, slowly recovering from nausea. Melanie fell asleep on my head again, so I sighed and walked to my old home. While I'm here, I'll just pack up everything else since I want to move to Magnolia. Nothing really appealed to me anymore.
I soon reached the apartment complex and talked to the owner about me moving. He understood and told me I had until the day after tomorrow to get all my stuff out and give back the key.
I went to my floor to find my old apartment. I eventually got to it and pulled out the keys, only to realize the door was already unlocked. I hesitantly put the keys away and slowly opened the door. I readied my magic, in case I saw someone lurking about in my room. The odd thing was, nothing was out of place. Nothing was moved or taken.
I glanced skeptically around the apartment, and found nothing. Maybe I'm just paranoid. I probably just forgot to lock the door when I left. Yeah, that's it.
I pulled out all of my drawers and started packing. I'm the bottom of my shorts drawer, I found a picture of my brother and I. A tear splattered on the picture. Suigin.... I'm sorry. I failed you. I slipped the photo into my pocket, and continued packing. Every now and then, I would find little forgotten treasures in the depths of my room. One of the items I was most ecstatic to find was my old dagger. It still had it silver gleam on it, and a sturdy handle, but what made it special was the engraving on the blade.

Chūsei Kokoro to ai wa nenryōdesu,
Yuki to Yuki wa chakkadesu,
Tsuyosa to sukiru wa honōdesuga,
Ochitsuita Kokoro to hageshī karada ga honō o ikashi tsudzukerudeshou. (1)

It was a birthday gift from my father, it was once my grandpa's weapon. He handed it down to him, then to me. I smiled at the blade, then I sheathed it and fasted the leather around my thigh.
I soon finished packing up my apartment, and Melanie got all her things ready to go. All that was left was a small couch with a few blankets and a pillow. It was getting dark out, and I didn't really feel like going on the train at night, so me and Melanie snuggled up together and fell asleep.

Meanwhile....
--??? P.O.V.--
Dirt and twigs crunched under my boots, and my tattered cape lightly swished across the ground as I walked. My brown hair constantly got in my eyes, so I kept brushing it away.
I had been traveling for years in search of her, and I still can't find her!
I let out a sigh, and as I walked, I happened across a town. It wasn't much, a few shops, a bathing house, some restaurants, houses, and an apartment complex. I quickly ran to one of the shops to grab a bite to eat. After, I went to the apartment building and asked for a room. I cleaned up, but as I was about to go to bed, I caught a familiar scent. I brushed it off, and though my nose was just playing tricks on me. I've searched everywhere, and there's been no sign of her.
As I fell asleep, my memories went back to her. Her cute little smile and her jokes she would crack. I vowed to find you, and I'm certain I will. I'll find you.....
Hailey......

Hey guys! It's been a while huh? Yeah, sorry about the wait, I recently watched Salad Fingers, thinking I could handle it. LOL NOPE! I got zero sleep I swear. But anyways, I hope you enjoyed the chapter! As for the 1 in the story, I'm going to start making a list of definitions if I write in Japanese. Or just write a weird word...

1. The poems says:
Loyalty and love are the fuel,
Courage and Bravery is the ignition,
Strength and skill is the flame,
But a calm mind and a fierce body will keep the flame alive.
