Amelia's POV
"Gray?" I knocked lightly on his door before I opened it slightly to peek in. "Hey babe, whatcha thinking?"

I admit, I wanted to everything about him, what he was thinking, what his favorite color was, and yes I already knew almost everything there was to know, him telling me again was the best feeling in the world. I looked at him with like he was my entire world, and well, he was.

"Ethan and Abby." He answered. "Can you believe they're in love with us?"
"Well I-"
"They just told you one day, out of the blue, that they were fake dating and all of this was a lie?"
"Not all of this. I don't-" I could barely get out a word with him now that he found out about Ethan and Abby.
"This is all so confusing for me. I mean wow."

What the actual fuck. He's acting like I was his therapist.

"I think I'm gonna go." I said, wondering if he'd even care.
"Ok. Shut the door on your way out." He responded. Guess he didn't care.

I shut the door as he asked and got in my car. I drove to the nearest McDonalds and ordered a large fry because man, I needed it.

I called Ethan because I needed to talk about this whole situation. Even though he's been avoiding me after he confessed his feelings for me, he's always going to be there for me and I know it.

"Hello?" He sounded as if he had just woken up.
"Hey E. can we talk at my place?"
"I don't know. Is Grayson ok with it?"
"Who cares. He's been distant lately and I really need someone who'll be there for me."
"Amelia..."
"Ethan, I think he's in love with Abby!" I blurted out.
"Oh my god. I'll be over in 5."

-

Ethan finally got here and as soon as I opened the door, he hugged me.

"I don't know what to do." I said, "We were fine before you and Abby said anything."
"Hey now," Ethan defensively said, "you asked me to come here, so don't go blaming people."

I was about to thank him for coming when I got a text from Grayson.

Grayson: I don't want you hanging out Ethan outside of our relationship.

Tears started forming in my eyes. I turned around so Ethan couldn't see me like this. I always hated it when people saw me cry. Especially when it was about them.

"Ethan..."
"Yeah?"
"I don't know if we should stay friends." I shook my head.

His mouth got wide and a tear fell down his right cheek. I instantly felt bad, but I thought it was the right decision if I wanted to stay with Grayson.

"We can still talk when I'm around Grayson or ask when a project's due, but other than that, we shouldn't go out of our way to talk to each other."
"How is that supposed to help anything?"

I hugged him and said, "Thank you for being my friend these last few years. I've had fun with you guys. We may have been forced to hang out because of Cameron, but in the long run, I'm glad we became friends. It's been great."

I expected him to be nice about it because this was obviously tearing me apart. Instead, he stormed out, slamming the door behind him.

I ran up to my room and the rear just came pouring down uncontrollably. I started remembering all the good times Ethan and I had together and it just made me cry even harder.

Flashback to 3 Years Ago -
I called Ethan on the phone because I was bored and Cameron was on vacation with one of her other friends from her grade.

"Hello?" He answered in a raspy voice.
"Um, hi. Is this Ethan Dolan?"
"Who's this?"
"Oh, yeah, it's Amelia. Amelia Baines. I'm friends with Cameron."
"Oh, yeah, I know you."
"I was just calling to see if you and Grayson wanted to hang out."
"I think Grayson's out with most of the guys from the football team."
"Oh, well, I understand if you don't wanna hang out with me alone. It'd be kinda awkward."
He laughed in the background before returning to the phone, "Why would it be awkward?"
"I don't know, I just thought-"
"Is 1:15 ok?"

Back to Present Time -
I had always had more of a crush on Ethan than I ever did on Grayson. The only thing is, Grayson's the one who actually liked me back.

Until now.
