Together Again

I've barely eaten anything for the past two weeks. My thoughts are not a nice place right now. But thank God Tim is coming home today.

We were going out for dinner tonight to catch up. I met him there and damn was he a sight for sore eyes. I ran over and have him the tightest hug imaginable and he hugged back with even greater force.

"Leah, I've missed you so much, I don't know how I got through without you."
"Ha tell me about it. But I've missed you too very much. It's great to hold you again."
I didn't want to let on what I've gone through without him but I still wanted to let him know what he means to me.

We got a table and sat down. I listened to Tim's stories of California.
"It's so much more easy going there. It was really cool to commentate the BCS championship game. I think I'm going to really like sports commentating."
"I'm so glad to hear it. That's great you're really going to enjoy your new job."

I flipped through the menu and nothing sounded good. After not eating for so long, I've just gotten used to it and food is going to be hard to choke down.

Our food came over to us. Tim had ordered the steak and I got the chicken. I didn't want to eat anything but I figured if I eat a few bites it will be enough. So I ate a little.
"How was your steak?" I asked Tim.
"Oh it was delicious! How's your chicken?"
I looked down at my plate and saw the three bites I'd taken from the chicken and said "oh yeah it's good."
I put my silverware and napkin on my plate signaling I was done.
"You barely ate anything did you get enough to eat?" Tim asked with good intentions.
"Um yeah I got enough, I'm just not that hungry."
"Have you been eating enough while I was gone?"
"Do you want the truth?"
I didn't want to lie to him but at the same time I didn't want to scare him.
"Yeah of course."
"Ok well I haven't really eaten anything in the past few weeks."
"Leah... I'm sorry. I thought you would be okay with me just texting and calling you. Is there something I can do to help?"
"No you did awesome texting and calling me. My mind is just stupid and without you around me I guess I just shutdown."
"I promise I will never leave you like that again. You can come and travel with me if you want. I don't care if the media finds out about us. You are much more important than that."

Oh my god. I have found the most perfect man in the world. Everything he does makes my heart melt. Obviously I can't live without him.
