Chapter Seven|Bluefield Fair:
Half an our later Nick was ready. The rips he had made looked half decent, boy he might of went a bit over board with the bleach. But that was all part of the affect, right? He'd dried the jeans after with his mums hair dryer in the bathroom, nearly electrocuting himself when he decided to turn the tap on to wash his hands with the plug still their. But on the plus side, he'd managed not to burn himself with the bleach.
On his top half he wore a plain white t-shirt with his blue adidas jacket what he'd got two years ago. Nick was skinny and he hadn't grew much since then.
Wait, was it bad to wear two makes at once?—he was wearing his Nike trainers and his adidas jacket. That didn't matter, did it?
Never mind, Nick would have to leave it—he was already running late to meet Nick and Josh.

"Wow." Nick said, "I can't believe how much I've been missing out!" He couldn't believe it. He pictured the fair to be nice, but he never imagined to look like this.
Colours were everywhere, the rides in all shapes and sizes. Teenagers, children and adults walked around, looking for the next fascinating ride to go on.
The sun was starting to go down and Nick could only imagine how the colours would glow in the dark.
"Never mind the fair, what the hell happened to your jeans?" Josh asked looking at Nick's newly made jeans.
Nick grinned. "What, you mean these old things? Hasn't anyone ever told you, Josh? I'm the DIY king."
The three boys were silent. Leo and Josh exchanged a look, before Josh started laughing. "Y-you?!" He spluttered. "Ha! That's the funniest thing I've ever heard!"
Nick scowled. "It could be true."
"Yeah, right! I remember you in DT. You ain't kidding no one. "
He rolled his eyes feeling embarrassed and looked over to Leo who had an amused look on his face. "Well, I think they look nice." He said softly. Josh wouldn't have heard him over his loud laughing, but Nick could. He smiled at Leo.
"Come on, lets go on that one," Leo pointed to a ride labelled the cage. Nick gulped. "Hey, laughalot, you coming or not."
Josh whipped a tear from his eye—an actual tear—and stood up straight. "Yeah, I'm coming."

Five rides later, the boys decided to get something to eat. If you didn't want sweets, then Mandy's Food was the only place to go. From what Nick could see, the food looked good, but it was the long line that made all three of them groan.
"I told you guys we should have gotten something to eat before we went on the rides. The line wasn't that long before." Josh exclaimed.
"Yeah, and then we'd be throwing up are guts all over the place." Leo said.
Josh rolled his eyes. "Nick threw up anyway."
"Hey!" Nick squealed, "That ride was going really fast."
"Even that little girl didn't throw up." Josh raised an eyebrow at him.
Nick blushed. "You know how sensitive my stomach is!"
By the time the boys had finished fighting they were at the front of the line and ordering.
Leo got a burger filled with gooey cheese, while Josh got a chicken burger stuffed with lettuce, and Nick got a hotdog with slices of onion hiding in it.
They sat down on a bench. The cold metal dug into Nick's back and made him shiver.
"What happens after we eat? I don't think it's a good idea to go back on the rides straight after." Leo said after he'd finished chewing.
"We could go to the stands where you have to shoot or throw things." Josh suggested.
"Or we could go to the arcade for a bit." Nick chimed in. The arcade was only five minuets away and it was actually one of Nick's favourite places in Bluefield. Not only did it have 2p machines and driving games, they had the old fashioned ones too—like packman and donkey kong.
They didn't stay silent, instead they jumped into conversations, taking about things that they were interested in. It was a nice difference, Nick admitted—talking at dinner time that was.
It almost made the time go faster even though Nick knew that couldn't possibly be true.
Once they finished their burgers and hotdogs, they queued up at Dorothy's Yummies. Popcorn, slush puppies, sweets and cotton candy lined the stall.
The line wasn't half as big as the last one which was a relief, and the boys got their orders quick—Josh with his rock candy, Nick with his mixed slush puppy and Leo with his pink coloured candy floss.
Nick couldn't help but admire Leo at that moment. He'd been given a choice—blue or pink candy floss.
Nick would have liked to have chosen pink but what would the lady at the stall think of the teenagers behind them. But Leo didn't seem to think about that when he ordered—in fact he didn't looked to have thought about it all.
Nick didn't have the courage to do that. He would have felt like everything had stopped—even the rides and the carnival music—and everyone had turned their heads to look at him—tonting him.
His face would have heated up and sweat would have dropped onto his brow.
But Leo clearly didn't care what other people thought, and Nick was jealous of that.
"Nick!" Ella said coming into view. Nick had been having so much fun that he'd forgotten about Ella. "I was just thinking about you."
"Me too." He lied.
Nick looked her up and down. Ella was dressed in light blue jeans, a white crop top and black converse. She looked... nice? No, that wasn't right. Boys would say she looked hot or fit. Not nice. What was wrong with him?
"You look... attractive." Nick decided to say. It didn't sound perv-y and it was better than his original thought.
Before Ella could open her mouth, Leo was already storming off in the direction of the mad house.
"Leo!" Josh shouted after him, but Leo didn't listen. He ignored the line of waiting people and ran inside the mad house.
Without even thinking, Nick dropped his slush puppy, blue, red and purple hitting Ella, Josh and Nick's feet, and he ran off, doing what Leo did and entering the mad house.

Poor Nick, he's so insecure :(
And what about Leo?
And there might be slightly slower updates but I'm trying to keep up and write more chapters!
