Mystic Falls.
Wow.
It's changed a lot since I have last been here. It was nearly five hundred years ago though. I came here in hopes that Niklaus wouldn't look for me here, even if he did he would probably just turn his attention to Katerina once he found out she was here. First I have to find her though. Perhaps I could ask someone if they know where she is staying.
Saharah trailed behind me as I searched for someone who might know where Katerina was staying. Saharah is my daughter, poor thing is frozen forever at six. There's a spell that can allow her to age, but I'm afraid that her years would catch up to her too fast and she would die. Why must things be so complicated?
"Excuse me, sir." I said politely walking up to a man dressed in a pin suit.
"Yes, how may I help you young lady?" He asked turning toward me.
"Might you know where I could find a Katerina Petrova?"
"My apologies, but I do not know a Katerina Petrova. However there is a Katherine Pierce staying at the Salvatore Manor." He informed me.
"Thank you, perhaps I have just got the wrong name." I replied curtsying and walking in the direction the man gave me toward the Salvatore Manor.
Outside the Salvatore Manor, Katerina was standing beside another man. I approached her with Saharah at my heels, it didn't take long for her to notice my presence and realize who I was. She stared wide-eyed at me, unable to process exactly how to respond.
"Katerina, my how it has been such a long time since I have seen you last." I smiled politely at her, she scowled at me slightly before turning toward the confused Human.
"Katherine, who is this woman?" The man asked confused.
He looked around seventeen or eighteen, pretty average looking if I do say so myself. I wonder what Katerina would ever want to do with such a dull Human. Then again, I've never really understood many of her motives before. Such as when she killed herself, turning herself into a vampire, just so she couldn't be used for the sacrifice. That really pissed Niklaus off, and I had to hear all about it. Of course my temper was slightly worse then his, so it didn't take long before I nearly just left him.
"Nobody who concerns you Stefan. Now, go back into the house until I come back." Katerina said not turning to the Human, Stefan,
"If I come back." She muttered under her breathe too low for Human ears.
"Would you be a doll, Stefan, and occupy Saharah for me until I return as well? I will warn you though, harm her and you will wish I would kill you." I gestured to my daughter sweetly, not waiting for a reply as I turned away.
I wasn't the least bit worried of Saharah accidentally slipping information out about herself or I, she knows better then to say anything out of the ordinary. Katerina followed me as I walked to a more private place; I knew that she wouldn't dare try to run while I was so near to her. I could feel her anxiety radiating off of her, I could almost hear her eyes darting around.
"Niklaus is not here." I stated simply, turning around to face her once I found a private enough spot.
"Why should I believe a word that leaks from your mouth?" She growled at me, I smirked at her giving a don't-mess-with-me look.
"If he was here, you would already be dead."
She narrowed her eyes as she glared at me, not fully trusting my words of assurance.
"If I were you Katerina, I would think twice before daring to even give a hint of hospitality toward me. Just because Niklaus is not with me right now, does not mean I can not go fetch him in an instant of a second thought." I threatened her menacingly, yet still trying to contain the lightness but not entirely throwing away the seriousness of my words.
"Why isn't Klaus with you right now? Aren't you two best friends or something?" Katerina questioned.
Niklaus insist that my relation to him and the rest of the family remain a secret, for some overly complicated reason. It's unnecessary if you ask me, but according to Elijah it's because Niklaus is worried for my safety or something like that. By the looks of our last argument, it seems Niklaus couldn't care less about my well-being. Then again, it always seems like that every time we fight.
"Stop asking the wrong questions." I said simply.
She stared at me for a moment, confused, but quickly dismissed whatever she was thinking, "Okay then? Why are you here then?" She tried again.
"Wrong question." I replied.
She looked at me, like I was crazy. Which was extremely probable, but not exactly the reason. I was waiting for her to ask a certain question.
"What do you want?" She asked hesitantly, it was obvious that she was avoiding this question.
Bingo! She looked annoyed; good.
"What makes you believe I want something from you?" I said acting shocked and hurt that she would ever think that.
"You're a cruel, manipulative, beast!" She spat at me, "Why wouldn't I think you want something from me."
I can't try and deny that I am much like my brother, I know it's true, but it doesn't hurt any less to be described like that. I wonder if my brother is truly unbothered by being known as that or if he is hiding the hurt like I do. I swallowed my anger and hurt, smirking back at her acting like it didn't bother me.
"You're right, for once. I do want something from you..."
"I'm not giving back that Moonstone." She hissed cutting me off.
"I don't care about the stone." I sighed.
"Then what...?" She replied confused, looking at me weirdly.
"Show me around." I smiled at her.
"Wait; what?" She questioned, mentally taking a step back.
I sighed, rolling my eyes. It wasn't that hard to comprehend what I was asking, yet she made it seem like I was asking to describe how a colour looked. What did she expect me to say? I want you to rip out your own heart? She can't honestly think I'm that cruel as to want to watch her kill herself for pleasure; could she?
"Take me on a tour of Mystic Falls; I haven't been hear for centuries." I answered.
"Uh, sure?"
