"Bye brownie, I'm gonna miss you." Rylan says as leans against his car arms wrapped around my waist.
"Bye Rylan and I'm gonna see you at school tomorrow so you can't miss me that much."
"Oh I'd beg to differ" smirking he presses his lips to mine. God, I can't believe I've kissed someone this many times in one freakin' day. I pull away and he pouts, adorably might I add. He walks inside his car and waves goodbye I wave back and wait until he drives off. I turn around and begin my trek to Mommy Tomasa's house to pick up Ash.
I don't know if I should tell Rylan about me. People who live on the southwest side of town are drug dealers, ex convicts, etc. long story short southwest people you stay away from. Despite what people say most of the southwest people are the nicest people you will ever meet. Yeah sure we have a lot of bad guys but they stay to their gangs they don't bother too much. But then you have the guys who are the ones you run from. They scream trouble. The older woman keep they away though. They would never say it but they could never hurt an old woman. I look around and hear noises like someone walking behind me.

I'm terrified. What are they going to do to me. I hear them walk faster and I bolt and I hear their feet hitting the concrete. I running to Cove St. trying to get to Candy's shop. I feel someone yank my hair back. I'm pushed back into alleyway. I look up to see a man with cold brown eyes and dark hair. He wears an evil mischievous smile.
"Oh I see you like to play hard to get huh? I like a little chase." I bring my knee to his private area and he tumbles back and falls to the ground. I dash out of there as fast as possible.
"That little b**ch get her!" I hear the man yell. I'm not stopping I'm going fast. If I go fast enough I can get to Candy's. That is until I trip over my own foot! Gosh why am I so dam clumsy! The two guys are running up to me. Once they've reached they circle me like or prey. A boy comes from nowhere. A boy with green eyes and brown hair.
"Leave her alone." He says it calmly but you can the seriousness in his voice.
"Whatcha gonna do about it preppy." The guys begin to forget about I'm even there. I slowly get up careful not to bring their attention back to me. I walk back and hide in the shadows to let the scene play out. I want to help but I can't risk it I have Ashton to think about.
The guy on the right is kicked and falls to the ground. I look to see a guy with dark brown hair and green eyes that shine in the night. The men get up but the green eyes is ready. Fist go flying, legs are kicking, heads are ducking, but when the dust has settled the two guys are on the ground knocked out and green eyes stands tall. He looks over at me with concern etched across his face.
"Hey a-are you okay, I'm sorry those guys tried to hurt you"
"I-It's fine I'm fine and it wasn't your fault t-thank you for saving me "
"No problem I couldn't let you just be hurt by I'm Daniel by the way" he extends his hand out for me to shake so I extend my out to him.
"I'm Roxanne thanks again," we're still shaking hands and I abruptly stop. "Well I'm going to go still have to get home." I give him a small smile and turn to walk away
"Wait! You can't just walk home after what just happened let me take you home." he says pointing to his car that's double parked.
"I can't, I don't even know you." I shake my head although I have seen him at the diner with his friends. I think he goes to school at Raverford Prep School. Those boys are bad news.
"I've seen you at the diner, you work there right look I promise I won't do I just want to eat you home safe."
"Even if I did say yes I still have to get my baby brother at my grandmother's house and then home.
"Ok I'll take you come on."
"Ok I'm going to trust you please don't abuse this" I warn following him to his mustang.

"Ok I'll see if I can make it." We wave goodbye to each other and I walk up the steps. I open the door to my apartment, and I place Ash in his bed and I dump my clothes in the hamper and go to sleep. I'm exhausted this day has been something out of a movie.
Boys. Gangs. Dream dates. Mean girl kissing the guy you like. A prince coming to the rescue. What a day! Oh, what a day. This has to be one of the most exhausting days of my life. I lay my head back on my pillow and I let sleep over take my weary body.
