We Need Samples

Did I seriously publish that gibberish? Wow, I'm sorry to those of you that saw it. 

Anyway, I haven't published a chapter in a few weeks, sorry about that. I was just lazy so I promise, I will get chapters out ON schedule now. 

Quick shout out to HephaestusBuilds over on Fanfiction.net. He does some Animorphs stuff and Naruto so if you like those books/mangas, make sure to check out his stuff. I wouldn't even be writing this if it weren't for him. 

I have a little easter egg in this chapter. If you can figure out what this reference is I'll give you a shout out in the next chapter I write. 

And now, on with the story...

Poof

We teleported into a dark room. The room we used to escape this facility. 

Well, here we are, let's get started.

"Okay Steven, get your computer set up so we can do this". 

"Alright". 

Less than a minute later he already had his computer on and hacked into their network. Weren't these guys supposed to be protective of this stuff? Jeez. 

"Okay, I'm in. These guys are terrible at passwords. I mean, "password" isn't exactly the best password for this kinda stuff", he said with a slight chuckle. 

"Well, that's just better for us, less security and it means some of the guys here are complete idiots. Great luck we have now", I said with the same chuckle. 

"Don't ruin our luck. This is the easy part", he said. 

"Fine, I'll stop being cocky". 

"I was joking", he said with a smile. 

"Okay... that was bad. No offense, but I thought you were serious". Man that was a cringe. 

"Man, I need to let Jeff teach me if I'm that bad. Anyway, you ready to collect those samples?"

"Not really, but I guess I have to".

"That's the spirit. I've got the people. 4 girls and 2 boys fit out schedule, guess one of us boys is going girl, haha". 

"Yeah, we'll just make Jeff do it". 

"Agreed." He said with a laugh. "Their names are Sam, Norm, Diane, Carla, Rebecca, and Lilith. I'll tell you where they are as you start searching but the closest one is Carla in the Medical Bay down the hall". 

"Got it, wait, haven't I heard those names somewhere? Some TV show maybe... Anyway, see you soon. I have some DNA samples to collect".

"See you soon buddy, don't get into any trouble".

"Can't guarantee that though, cheers dude". I began shrinking. It's simple to do, I practiced at home before this. Just concentrate on getting smaller and I'll get about as small as an ant. So as I was shrinking, I noticed Steven getting taller through what little light was in the room. 

I used our telepathy to contact him. <You're gonna have to bring me to the door so I can start>. If I tried to speak, I would be too small for him to hear me. 

<No problem>, he scooped me up and gently set me down near the door crack.

<Okay, I have all the samples. I just have to grow again and we're out> I said. 

We completed our mission. All 6 DNA samples. Skin, hair, anything I could manage. Just one mistake, I couldn't label them so when we change us into them, we don't know who we're going to get. It'll be a surprise. 

I walked under the doorway and started growing as soon as I was in. When I was large again, I put the samples on the floor in one pile and started packing up Steven's computer equipment while he got the teleporter set up. 

Once it was set up, I picked up the samples again and Steven grabbed his equipment. We then teleported to our home.

I immediately grabbed a jar to put all the samples in. We can sort through them later. 

We were in Steven's lab so he put his equipment at his working station.

"All done. All is well. Looks like it was  a success", I said. 

"Yep, everyone's back from school, let's go report our success and call it a day".
