Just want to say hi. Quick hello and message that I'm gonna be away from all internet next week. No internet means no story next week so to make up for it I'll write one extra chapter the week after to make up for it. I will be gone at a summer camp of sorts, no electronics aloud.

That's it for my spiel, enjoy the chapter.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Earlier today, we all got news that Henry and Steven succeeded with collecting the samples.

Well, looks like we're set for doing this mission after all, huh?

I lay on my bed with my thoughts pondering over the morals to all this. I checked the clock; 12:03.

I like to think of myself as the one who makes sure we do what's right. I'll be keep everyone's morals in check. I've been thinking about what it is we're really doing.

Are we starting a war with people who simply want to succeed? It's a hard world, I've learned that from my time here in Seattle, so I start to question if we're gonna be fighting people who are only doing what they have to.

Are people evil for doing what it takes to survive? They thrive from a company that uses children to do their own work. And they're succeeding. Will this be what succeeds in the future? Slavery?

Natural selection as Darwin put it. I've been fascinated with his work. But he states that the strongest survive. In a civilization that can overpower the environment on a whim, it's not physical power that decides who does well for us , it's what position you hold in a government and economic power decides if you do well.

This means that in order to "survive" or be the strongest in this new civilization, we must have political or economic power. We need control over large factors in civilization to succeed. Well, the SMT has economic control. They are a large factor in the market.

And they succeed.

Despite what evil crimes they commit, they succeed. They have power. They are the strongest in our current Natural Selection. They will survive.

I suppose you don't have to be nice or kind to succeed. You need to be ruthless. Strength is defined by your power, not morals. Currently, Natural Selection is choosing those without morals. It doesn't care. It's just logic.

The evil people are succeeding because they have power over others.

But there's still the question: Is this right?

Well, do we want the ruthless, evil, uncaring people to be the ones who control human civilization?

So far, my answer is yes, it is right for us to intervene and stop this if we can. They use children as slaves so they can make money and rise to power. This is not what we want rising to power.

Things need to change, and I'm going to be the one to make sure we stick to changing this rule of power.
