Now that we have our apologies in order, on to the winners. There were some excellent stories submitted to this contest and it was extremely difficult to chose a winner but it came out to be karvore . Great job, your story was phenomenal!!! I haven't been doing second place winners lately, but since this person's was so good, IzzyZvahl wins second place. Very heart wrenching story... I loved it. Everyone else was amazing as well but unfortunately, I don't give out participation awards. Thank you to everyone who entered! I hope you enjoy my next contest.📚💻💚

This contest is going to have a few more guidelines than my previous contests. Stories are meant to stir emotion and are meant to come from the heart. If your story does not disrupt the calm, constant emotional state of its reader then you aren't going to attract any literature-hungry eyes. Same goes for poems. Now I know what you're all thinking, "Poems? Ew, no this isn't an eighth grade English class I'm not going to enter this contest." Because the last few contests have been so relaxed and open I want this one to be challenging. To most people, writing poetry is challenging. No, you're not going to write a haiku nor does it have to sound like Dr. Seuss wrote it. It can be a slam poem or just a blerb of your thoughts in organized chaos on a paper (more of a screen, since this is Wattpad but you get the idea). For this contest write a poem about a city. It can be a famous city or a city that you grew up in. It can be a small town or you could write about all of New York City. Just a poem about a city. Make it very sensory and give me some strong imagery. I want to be able to feel the wind on my face and see the Eiffel Tower glittering in the sunlight or hear the angry honking of drivers and taste the revolting smell of smog clouding the LA skies. This contest starts today, the 14th of May, and the deadline for entrees is the 15th of June.
