What's the scenario?

So, since only one person entered my first contest I'd like to recreate it now that there are a few people doing these things. So, I'm going to write a snippet of a story and you have to tell me what's happening, why its happening, and the character's NAB (name, age, and backstory). There is no right or wrong answer. You make it up. And then provide either a prologue or an epilogue to the story snippet.

I lay in my bed, awake. I kept tossing and turning but I couldn't get comfortable. With the thoughts of Maggie swirling in my mind. Would she be okay? What had happened exactly? I didn't know a thing. All I knew were her last words, because that's all I could get out of her before they took her away. Her hand cupped around my face and tears rolling down her cheeks, her pale face glowing eerily as I said, "I'm so, so sorry."

"It wasn't your fault." She cooed before her chest was no longer moving and her eyes went completely blank. Could the medics have saved her? Could she still be okay? I remembered the blurs of color and sound as they pulled me away from her. Would I ever see her again? Was she really gone? I didn't know how I could live without her. Nothing would be the same. I just wished that someone would tell me something.

As I thought about her last words to me before she was taken away tears welled up in my eyes. It was my fault. She just didn't know. She didn't know what I did. That it was my fault. All of it. And I had to fix it. I had to right my wrongs. I sacrificed Maggie for this, this awful feeling. Now I have to get her back. Now I have to save her from the horrors I created. I had to fight back, and I had to win.
