Jaylan's point of view

"Maybe it isn't too much, three bedroom and three bathroom, but it's home when we aren't traveling." Luke smiled as he held his arms out. "Uh... mí casa es tú casa?"

"Gracias. Muy bien." I laughed and he put an arm around my shoulders as we walked in. "Es muy bonita. Very beautiful."

"Let me show you around. Brian will stuff your bag in your room, and I'll save that for last. Best for last, am I right?" He asked and I nodded as he began showing me around.

"This is the kitchen, we really only use it for breakfast or if we get tired of ordering in or going out. There's the balcony, has a wonderful view of the city and even the ocean which is maybe a mile or two away. Down there is the living room and that lil pup's room, that's what that door is. Hi Tunia. Hi piggy." Luke gasped as a bulldog with a pink collar came running up to us.

"Fun fact, I am extremely allergic to dogs," I brought up as I crouched down, scratching behind her ear. "But... I love them so much."

"How allergic?"

"Sneezing and stuff. Nothing too fatal." I laughed and he nodded as I looked at Petunia, holding a silver charm in my hand from her collar. "Who's Arzaylea?"

"Hm?" He asked as he looked up at, taking this time to stand up. "Sorry, I didn't hear you."

"Her collar says Arzaylea on it." I told him and he laughed. "Best friend?" I asked and he shook his head.

"Ex. We got this lil piggy together but ended up going south about a month ago maybe. She comes and visits her sometimes, when she isn't partying and drinking away her cash with her 'baddie' friends." He mumbled bitterly and I felt bad for bringing it up.

"I'm sorry. I uh, didn't know-"

"Don't worry. Past is in the past." He chuckled as he stood up. "Besides, we're both happy now."

I nodded, though I couldn't help but feel intrusive and irritating by asking the simple, but destructive, question. He probably hates me now, but won't tell me it to my face. I mean, I just brought up an ex of his, a recent one to top it off. I doubt he's as cool with it as I let on. I know I wouldn't be.

"Hey, you coming?"

I shook my head as he snapped me out of my spiraling thoughts, and then looked at Luke. "Yeah. Yeah sorry. I just zoned out. Sorry." I kept apologizing, heat rushing to my face as I followed him around the apartment.

"That's the den down there, it's where we usually go for some quiet time since it's always loud upstairs and in the living room. Has a computer, printer, books, basic stuff. Washer and dryer are in the room over, through that door." He explained and I nodded as we went back up the small flight of stairs.

"Guest bedroom is behind the staircase, you can see it through the stairs right there. A bathroom is right across, and that door also leads to the den." He pointed out and I peeked into the roomd. "Our rooms are upstairs. Come."

I followed and he pointed to a closed door. "That's our bedroom, and right across is your room. The door in between in a closet where our cleaning supplies are, and the one across from that is the bathroom." He opened the doors to show me inside and I peered into the room he said was mine.

"Where did Brian go?" I asked since I saw my bag, but not the blonde. "Did he leave?"

"Dunno..." Luke trailed off as his phone rang. "Right, we'll go this weekend to pick up a phone and stuff for you." He told me as he pulled the device from his pocket.

"It's fine really. I don't need one. I don't have many friends and-"

"What if you're out and we can't reach you?" He asked and I was silent. "Don't worry if you don't want us spending money on you. Starting now, consider yourself spoiled."
