Look at your wrist,
do you notice the blue veins
that sit below the surface?
do you think of how beautiful they look,
striping your insides in a
netting of indigo hue?
veins that run up to fingertips that
play a soft hum of heartbeats
that home an electrifying buzz of liveliness,
singing like a lullaby for the alive.
