Bonded Hate (Matt Smith)

Chapter 4: Cody

I felt my heart getting heavier. "LILA!" Matt screamed. "I'm sorry Matt! I'm so sorry." I wimper. "Why did you break up with me then? What did I do?" Matt asked concerned. "I...." I knew that I had to act like there was a reason, other than the actual reason. Matt didn't do anything, but I knew I had to tell him somithing. Not the truth though, never the truth.

"I don't love you" I said choking on my own words. I could see the tears start rolling down his gentle skin. "Matt I-I." I stuttered. "You what? I already know you don't love me, is there anything else you would like to say to me. At this point, there is nothing worse than what you just said." Matt cried.

"I'll leave now." I slowly walked into the bedroom, getting what little I had. I was only supposed to be staying the night, but I ended up staying a couple more, due to the fact that I was scared. I fell onto the bed, crying. I was crying more than I had ever cried before.

After a long cry session, I stood up, tears still streaming out of my eyes. I felt weak, so weak. I felt weak, and alone, and scared. I had no point in living anymore. There was Luna, but thats it. I had no Matt.

Matt walked into the room, trying to blink away the tears. We stood there staring at each other for a couple of seconds before I finally broke the silence. "I- I'm leaving now." I slowly walked passed Matt, brushing shoulders with him.

I got to the door, pulled out my phone, and sent a text message to Cody.

'Change of plans. Meet me at my house, not Matt's. I'll text you the address.' I knew that I had to let him know where I was going, or he would hurt Matt for letting me loose. I gave Matt one last glance, and slowly moved my lips as if I were saying 'I love you', but no words came out of my mouth.

He wasn't looking at me when I mouthed that, thank goodness. I turned and walked out of the house. It was most likely my last time in this house, and my last time seeing Matt's face. I felt a little tear threaten to fall. I had never cried this much in one day.

It was 9:50pm now. I was standing in the field, saying goodbye to Luna. I had sold her, the new owner was supposed to be here later. Luna was hidden in the barn, so that Cody couldn't hurt her. I put out enough hay for her to last the night, then I walked back inside and sat on my couch, waiting for Cody to arrive.

I would run again, if I had never met Matt. I knew that if I ran agian, Cody would find him and hurt him until Matt told him information that he didn't know. It was finally 10, and I was more scared than ever. I had finally gotten the perfect life, but then Cody had to come and ruin it all. I had sold Luna to some strangers, lost my job, and Matt hated me.

Finally, after what seemed like an eon, I heard heavy banging at the door. I opened it and immediatly got punched in the face, knocking me down. Cody came at me and started kicking and puching. I had been with him for only 5 minutes, and I already had cuts and bruises all over.

I'm glad that I left Matt so that he didn't have to see this.

"YOU RAN AWAY?! I SPENT FOREVER LOOKING FOR YOU!!" Cody screamed, starting to punch me even harder. He would occasionally pick me up by my hair, and throw me against the wall. As soon as Cody took a break for a second, I grabbed my bleeding side in agony. I didn't have one part of my body that wasn't pouring out blood.

I was in so much pain! After about 2 minutes of sitting in agonising pain, a car pulled up to my driveway. It was Matt's car. Cody quickly picked me up by my shirt, and threw me into the coat closet. Cody hid in the guest room, directly next to the closet. I sat there silently, one because it hurt to talk, and two because I didn't want to hurt Matt anymore.

Clamping my bleeding and bruiesed side, I layed down on the floor, praying that Matt didn't find me.

MATT'S POV

I didn't want to go back to Lila's house after what she did to me, but she had left her phone on my couch, and I figured that she might need it. I got out of the car and saw another car in the driveway that wasn't hers. "We just broke up this morning and she has already found another guy." I said, trying not to cry.

I walked up to the door, and knocked loudly. There was no reply, so I figured that she was probably with her guy friend. I walked into the house, her phone made a noise, indicating that she had a new text message. I couldn't help but look.

I unlocked her phone, to reveal a conversation with a man named Cody. I looked at the text message and started crying. I couldn't help myself. The text read 'Lila, who is that man that just walked in. Is that Matt? I thought you left him?!' I scrolled up, just to find another horrible text message sent by Lila.

'Change of plans, meet me at my house, not Matt's. I'll text you the address.' I fell to my knees, crying a river. She has been cheating on me with this Cody guy. I knew that she was too good to be true.

I threw her phone and the house key she gave me on the couch, then turned around. As I was about to walk out, I heard crying. I ignored it and walked away.
