I got up the next day to see Sam and Dean in my room at the table.

"The hell..." I muttered just waking up.

"Morning princess," Dean said in a gruff voice.

"Bite me, Dean," I said scowling at him.

"Jesus can't you two get along for two seconds?" Sam said getting a big fed up.

"I guess not," I said smiling at Sam.

"Yeah I'm not in the mood I'm going out for a supply run, don't kill each other," Sam said grabbing his jacket and keys.

"Did you find anything new on the case?" I asked walking over to Dean.

"Yeah, the last place the demon was seen was this bar downtown so Sam and I are going to check it out after he gets back," Dean said shutting his laptop.

"Ok I'll get changed and meet you guys there," I said starting to pick out my clothes.

"I think you should stay here, leave this to us," Dean said getting up.

"Why the hell do you keep treating me like an amateur? I have been hunting my whole life, just like you, so stop giving me all this crap," I said trying to get it through his head that I was a good hunter.

"Laura, no matter how experienced you are as a hunter, I'm never going to want to bring you with me on a hunt," Dean said looking me dead in the eyes.

"Why?" I asked simply.

"Because even though you think I hate you, and I haven't exactly been brother of the year to you, I still don't want anything to happen to you," Dean said turning around.

"I get that Dean, but you hunt with Sam literally all the time, why am I so different?" I ask genuinely curious.

"Because I wasn't there to protect you in your life. If I knew about you, there would have been no way I would have let you grow up with just your Mom. You would have been with us for at least a portion of your life, and no matter what I never would have let you hunt. You're my little sister, and I couldn't stop you from going through all the pain in your life, and that kills me," Dean said starting to get a bit sad and angry.

"Dean, how I grew up was not your fault, how you treat me now, that is completely up to you, not your Dad, not my Mom, nobody," I said looking at him.

"I know that. I feel so bad about how I handled the whole Jo situation, it's just, I got Jo killed, and I couldn't protect her then and I can't protect her now," Dean said in a desperate voice.

"Hey, she doesn't need protecting, and her death sure as hell wasn't your fault. She wanted to help you take down Lucifer, and she wanted to blow up that store. She made her own decisions. I'm sorry that I didn't tell you she was alive, but I will make sure that you get the reunion you deserve. I'll call her and tell her to meet me somewhere, and you can come too, and talk to her," I said smiling at the end.

"Thanks Laura. Can we just start over please?" Dean asked chuckling at the end.

"Hi, my name is Laura Covell, and I am your sister," I said holding my hand out.

"Dean Winchester, best hunter on the planet," Dean said shaking it.

"Yeah ok, whatever you say," I said laughing.

Dean then gave me a hug, and for the first time since I met him, I felt like he was hugging me out of love, not obligation or pity. I finally had both my brothers, and I couldn't imagine why my mom wanted me to stay away from them so bad. But I was sure as hell about to find out.
