BH MEMORIAL HOSPITAL , CALIFORNIA.
DEREK left Isaac's hospital room quietly, after making sure that his Beta was safe. He entered the elevator and made his way to the third floor, to room 309. The room in which his sister currently occupied.
Derek sat down next to her bed and wrapped his hands around one of hers kissing it gently.
He sighed heavily as tears gathered in his eyes as she looked down at his sister, blaming himself for her condition.
He breathed in before speaking to her, the doctors say there could be a chance that she could hear them and that by talking to her regularly it might help her condition. Derek wasn't too sure they were right but he would try anything to wake her up.
"I'm so sorry Mia. I know how much you hate apology's but this one is needed, and I'm going to keep telling you this until you wake up. I don't know if you can hear me or not, if you can't then I feel like a crazy person but it worked with Peter so I can only hope it will work for you." He paused as he gathered his thoughts, by this time some tears had escaped but he knew that she would want him to stay strong.
So instead he did what he usually does when he visits, he tells her about his day. He hopes that she enjoys it, she always used to like hearing about his day and a part of him just wants to keep her updated so that when she does wake up she'll be able to know what's happened in the past few years that she's been gone. "We found Isaac. The Alpha Pack took him, but the Doctors say that he's going to be okay." He looked over to her IV and the heart monitor that was still beeping away and sighed "At least I'm not a total screw up" He shakes his head as he listens to her heartbeat which is comforting for him just knowing that she is still there.
"Peter and I still haven't been able to find out where the Pack are yet but we know that Isaac can find them...so it's only a matter of time before we get Boyd and Erica back" Derek continued. Once he'd finished he stayed in the chair next to her bed just wishing that his little sister would open her eyes, it's been seven years and he's started to lose hope that she will ever wake up. The nurses say to be patient and that time will tell but he doesn't know how much time she has left.
The door freaked open as someone stepped into the room standing besides Derek.
"She's a strong girl Derek, she'll pull through" Melissa placed a hand on his shoulder.
"When?" Derek's voiced cracked as he looked up sadly at Melissa.
"I don't know Derek, I don't know" She gave him a comforting smile before she looked over at his sister.
"Did you manage to see Scott on your way in?" She asked him as he unwrapped his hands from his sisters.
Derek furrowed his eyebrows confused as to why Scott would be here at the hospital when he knew he should be in school "No, I thought he was in school?" He asked.
Melissa laughed lightly "Actually that's my fault, I told him about Isaac and he came straight here...I'm sorry was I not suppose to?" She quickly asked about to apologise as she saw that Derek's expression turn sour.
"No it's just, I didn't want him to get involved with all of this. He should be focusing on other things like school trying to have some what of a normal life. I was just trying to figure this out on my own" He sighed knowing that Scott would no doubt find out about the Alphas soon enough and want to help because of his righteous nature.
Melissa nodded "I understand over the summer he's been doing so well, I didn't want to ruin it all but I knew he'd want to know about Isaac" She gave him a guilty look.
"It's fine, I should of told him." He admitted as he stood up from his seat.
"Call me if anything changes?" He gestured towards his sister knowing that the woman would know what he was talking about.
"Of course" She promised nodding to the man who left a gentle kiss on his sister's forehead before he left the room in search for Scott.
Melissa went over to the younger Hale and started to do her daily check up before a young dark skinned nurse came in informing her of someone needing her assistance.
She handed Mia's papers that recorded her progress and everything else over to her asking her to make sure everything was in check before leaving the room not knowing that the woman in fact wasn't a nurse at all.
