DOWNTOWN , BEACON HILLS

ONCE Mia had remembered who Peter was, all of her past memories started to flood back to her. She could remember who she is, or who she was because she's sure that she's not the same person as she was seven years ago. A lot has changed she knew that much both physical and mentally.

Peter had started to ease her back into reality gently giving her small exercises to do and simple tasks to keep her busy until Derek and the Pack returned.

It was now past midnight and the Pack still hadn't contacted Peter so he thought it best to keep Mia with him for the night, it felt nice for a change to have one family member who didn't seem to hate his guts granted he had not fully divulged into all the details of his past and his mistakes but he gave her a few footnotes and she could tell he had gone down a dangerous path.

Peter led her to one of his spare rooms and told her he would just be down the hall if she needed anything.

Mia walked around the spare room her eyes being able to pick out some familiar objects and trinkets that had been pasted down their family through generations. Her hand glided gently across the array of books that Peter had collected over the years, she stopped as she saw one that looked some what interesting and knew that she wasn't going to get much sleep the next few nights as all she could think about was that if she shut her eyes this could all of just been a dream and she would end up back in that hospital bed for who know how long.

So instead, she picked up the old book brushing off the dust that had collected and settled down in a chair beside the window looking out at the city.

As she began to read she could feel her eyes begin to droop but tried to fight against it, in the end exhaustion took over and won and her head fell back as the book began to slip out of her hands as she went further into a deep slumber.

As morning came Peter entered the room in which Mia was currently occupying to see her body curled up in a chair with her head thrown back against it as she snored away, the book that she had been reading dangling from one of her hands. He smiled softly at the sight of her, he had missed her these past few years and he thought that things might of been different had she been around, she always was the one who tried to put him on the right path and even if that failed she would try to set it right. She was a smart girl for her age and he hoped that, that wouldn't change now that she has been absent for a while.

Mia's eyes fluttered open as she sensed someone in her room. She looked up to find Peter stood at the foot of the door his lip curling up as he saw that she was now awake.

"Breakfast?" He asked already knowing the answer.

She nods excitedly at the mention of food before jumping up in her seat and rushing past Peter already smelling the aroma of cooked food before running into the kitchen and plopping herself down on a stall in front of a plate of hot food.

She wolfed down her breakfast of bacon, eggs and pancakes before pushing her plate across to Peter who looked shocked at how fast she had managed to eat.

Mia noticed the absence of her brother and still felt guilty from yesterday when she had forgotten who he was and she wanted to apologise to him and catch up as she knew she had missed a lot. She could sense the changes in Peter and knew that Derek must be a different person then she knew too "Where's Derek?" She asked as she looked around her Uncle's apartment.

"He's out at the moment, I brought you here to my apartment as I didn't want you to be alone your first night back, plus the fact of Derek taking his key back and partially banishing me from his loft. Little does he know I also acquired a second key" He chuckled lightly knowing that his would amuse her.

Peter could sense that she felt uncomfortable about herself and decided to speak up about it "Hey, it's okay. I understand what you're going through okay? You're confused as to who you are but that's okay it's what your brother and I even Cora are here for. We're going to help you through this. We understand you might not get everything straight away and we don't blame you for that, just take your time and ease into it. You'll be just fine" Peter reassured her as he rubbed her arm gently.

"Thanks Pete" She mumbled as she threw her arms around him. Peter froze as she hugged him, no one had done this in a while it was a foreign feeling for him but he relaxed into it and eventually wrapped his own arms around her hugging her back. He smiled as he realised that she had remembered her nickname for him.

Peter pulled away from Mia and walked over to the coffee table in the adjacent room plucking his keys from a bowl.

"What do you say we go see Derek?" He asks and her mood suddenly brightens as she hops down from the stool and practically skips over to Peter following him out of his apartment.

HALE LOFT , BEACON HILLS

Mia stepped out of Peter's car looking up at the set of apartments in front of them suddenly feeling quite nervous about seeing her brother again as she believes that yesterday didn't really count as she couldn't even remember who he was. She just hoped that he would want to see her again.

Before they could even think about entering the building someone stepped out. Once she recognised his face she didn't hesitate to run towards him, she flung her arms around her brother holding onto him . She didn't even know that she was crying until Derek pulled away slightly and brushed her tears from her face.

"I'm so sorry Derek, I -" She got cut off before she could finish her sentence. Derek placed his hands on either side of her shoulders and looked her in the eye.

"You have nothing to be sorry for. It wasn't your fault the Doctors said it was expected for a coma patient who has been out for a long time. I'm just glad you're okay and that you're here now" He cut her off beaming down at her before she got tackled to the ground by a small brunette.

Mia groaned "That's the second time in two days, nice to see you again Cora" She teased as Cora helped her up hugging her again but less aggressively this time.

"Cora 2, Mia 0" She joked winking at her younger sister.

"Oh I can totally beat you" She challenged never backing down from a fight, she remembered all of the games and pranks they used to play mainly on Derek who hated it but that's what made it more fun.

"Wanna bet?" Cora raised her eyebrow as she crossed her arms over her chest a glint in her eye.

"What's the stakes?" Mia asked.

"Winner gets the Camaro the loser has to ride in Stiles Jeep. Normal rules apply" Cora smirked.

"Who's Stiles and what's so bad about a jeep?" She was confused why Cora wanted to bet that, obviously they have both wanted the Camaro it was Derek's pride and joy, he even went as far as naming it which they used to tease him for in High School, but she didn't get why she would bet on a Jeep.

"Stiles is Scott's best friend he's a bit of a weird kid and his Jeep is so old it could probably out age Peter" As she said this Peter gave her an offended look but decided not to argue.

"You're on" They shook hands and eyed each other suspiciously before running off inside pushing each other to reach the elevator first. Derek smiled after them happy that nothing had really changed between them they were still the same girls he knew seven years ago.

"Wait a second. I don't even know how to drive!" Mia exclaimed as the doors to the elevator closed.
