Our Love Story

I'm back! So excited to be writing the sequel to 'Our Fate'. If you haven't read it, please do before reading this story. I will not be posting the other chapters until late April, this is just the intro.

Oh! And I changed the money Luke gave Camryn to 5,000 because it would be too much. :)

It was our love. Our love that kept me smiling. That kept me, alive.

Fighting cancer is not fun. Especially when you have to see so much blood all the time, have no hair, and sleep in an uncomfortable hospital bed. My friend Kinley also had Leukemia almost two years ago, and she has helped me tremendously this pass 6 or 7 months.

My other friend Stella in L.A visited twice, and her bubbly personality really lifted my spirits, if that makes sense.

And the boys. Beau did send me pictures pretty much everyday of his sparkling eyes, but he stopped doing it after that thing happened. Jai face-timed me a lot too, but then stopped. And Luke, he visited like 7 times,and he got me through so much, even fell asleep with me sometimes.

What turned everything upside down was the day I hit my head. Literally.

Luke and I were in my hospital room watching American Horror Story. I remember that day pretty well.

*FLASHBACK*

"Camryn I don't want you to get up, you're so weak." Luke said cuddling me. Whenever I got the chance to get out of that bed I took it.

"Luke, I'm just going to get that bottle of water!" I took my time and slowly got up, but it didn't matter how fast I did. Luke was right because I was weak, and I instantly fell down. I hit my head on the side of the night stand.

"Camryn!" Was the last thing I remember before waking up.

The doctors said I was really lucky, considering how easy it is just to get a paper cut, let alone a huge bruise. Luckily, I did not bleed. I woke up the next morning, not remembering anything.

My eyes fluttered open and I saw a bright light, then my mother.

"Camryn, it's me, L.L, your mom." I smiled and I gave her a hug. "And this is your boyfriend Luke" She pointed to him, and his eyes were so puffy. He was really cute, but I now remember that I Leukemia and he wouldn't love a bald girl.

"Luke, I-I don't know who you are. I'm sorry."

"I'll leave you two alone." My mom said, leaving the room quickly.

"You don't remember anything?" He mumbled, looking down because he was now crying.

"I'm so sorry, I just don't."

"It's okay. It's not your fault." He said quietly.

*END OF FLASHBACK*

After that, they stopped coming, and we all stopped texting each other.

Today, I was finally 1 month cancer free, and Mariam invited me to L.A. to celebrate. I am finally going to an actual party. Not a hospital party at St. Joseph's hospital. (it's actually a real hospital lol) I was leaving at 11:30am so I could get there around 5:30 to help get everything ready.

I have to admit, I am a bit nervous to see them again, I mean I didn't remember who my boyfriend even was. I broke up with Luke because it just wasn't working out, a couple months ago.

I slid on my white knit Toms and put on a tribal print ankle-length skirt with a white 3/4 crop top. For makeup I decided to only put on mascara and a light pink lipstick. Since I had my last round of chemo not to long ago, I was still considered bald. I chucked on a dirty pig beanie and got in the car.

"Camryn, what are you going to do with that 5,000 dollars the boys gave you?" My dad asked in the car.

"I don't really know yet, but I'm definitely waiting until I really need it." He nodded and I turned on the radio. Happy by Pharrel Williams and Dark Horse by Katy Perry came on probably a million times.

My dad was going to stay at a nearby hotel again so if I needed him he would be there. Ashton wanted to come but I told him that there would be a lot of drunks and I wouldn't want him around.

The thing I was scared the most about is seeing everyone again. All I want right now is a warm hug. Like the ones Luke would give me.
