"Call me if you need anything!" I nodded and closed the car door. I walked up the driveway. Memories flooded my mind as I knocked on the door. This random girl opened it.
"Hi! You must be Camryn! Come in!" I followed her in. "This is a little awkward. I'm, um Luke's girlfriend." I didn't even know he had one. But she was very pretty.
"You're so pretty! It's so great to meet you!" I said. She smiled. "Thanks, so are you. You are one of my inspirations, staying so strong while having cancer."
"Thanks," I looked at her confused because I didn't know her name. "Emma."
I liked that name, and for some reason it fit her. She had blonde hair and dark brown eyes.
"This is pretty much where everyone is, the boys and stuff. Have fun!" She ran off to what looked to be one of her friends. I looked over in the living room where a bunch of boys were. I saw Jai. I shouldn't have, but I had butterflies.
"Jai?" He looked behind him. Skip and him were playing an intense game of Fifa, but he threw is remote on the floor.
"Holy Shit! Camryn!" He stood up and hugged me. That's when I saw Luke out of the corner of my eye with Emma. He had one of those smiles. Those smiles you only see once in life. But I continued hugging Jai.
"I missed you so much Cam!" Jai said pulling away so we could talk. "I missed you too Jai. I needed to see you." Did I just say that?! Now he thinks I have something for him. He probably has a girlfriend too.
"Oh my gosh you probably have a girlfriend too. Sorry" I looked down. He giggled.
"I do, but it's okay I know what you meant. We all have girlfriends, except James. He's over there if you wanted to talk to him." I smiled and walked over to James. He was getting a can of coke.
"HEYY!" I yelled. "CAMYRN!" We hugged for a couple seconds.
"Mariam told us about you coming to celebrate but, h, she forgot it's actually Jacob's birthday today so um yeah."
"It's fine!" He smiled.
"Well, see you around!" Jai then grabbed my hand out of nowhere.
"Woah! You scared me!"
"Sorry!" He chuckled. "C'mon I wanna show you a drawing I made for you." He led me upstairs and told me to stay in the hallway and close my eyes. All of a sudden, I heard groaning coming from where I think was Luke's room. I couldn't help but lurk.
I wasn't the 'spy on someone' type but he is my ex.
"Camryn wouldn't do this for you would she?" I heard between groans. "She was probably to child-ish to even-..."
"Shut Up. You don't know her." I heard footsteps coming toward the door so I backed up and almost lost my balance. But, someone catched me. Jai.
"Shoot. I'm sorry I didn't listen to you but,..."
"Don't worry. It's okay." He laughed. This was embarassing. "Here." He showed a drawing of me with muscles. He even drew my bald head correctly.
"It shows your a fighter." A tear fell from my left eye, but I quickly wiped it. I realized the Luke never came out so I guess he heard me and Jai. My face went red. I looked down.
"I love it." When I knew my face was somewhat back to normal I dragged Jai to his room to ask a couple questions.
"Where's your girlfriend?" He smiled. "She's at home. She doesn't like the other boys. That's why we don't usually hang out."
"Did you guys ever, like do it?" He shook his head. "She's a year younger than me and she said she doesn't believe in doing that before marriage. Me and her aren't really girlfriend and boyfriend. Like, if we broke up 5 minutes from now, it wouldn't be a surprise." Wow. Jai really was cool. And Luke stood up for me. How will the rest of the night be?
